Available 6.7L High-Output Cummins® Turbo Diesel I6 Engine
The 2022 RAM 3500 offers Best-in-Class diesel torque and diesel towing, as well as an impressive payload when equipped with the available 6.7L High-Output Cummins® Turbo Diesel I6 engine. It is mated to the fully electronically controlled Aisin six-speed automatic transmission, which has been upgraded for enhanced durability, low noise, vibration and harshness and new software control for seamless shifting.
6.7L Cummins® Turbo Diesel I6 Engine
The available 6.7L Cummins® Turbo Diesel I6 engine offers remarkable responsiveness and impressive torque ratings for outstanding towing capability, without compromising efficiency. The six-speed automatic is a sophisticated, multirange, electronically controlled transmission with gear ratios optimized for the 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel I6 engine. It features responsive performance and low noise, vibration and harshness.
6.4L HEMI® V8 Engine
The legendary 6.4L HEMI® V8 engine comes standard on each 2022 RAM 3500. Using variable-cam timing, it delivers Best-in-Class standard 410 gas horsepower for impressive capability. When paired with the eight-speed automatic transmission, it offers a level of refinement not usually seen in heavy-duty trucks. It features fully electronic operation and on-the-fly shift mapping.

The available Auto-Level Rear Air Suspension includes a Bed Lowering Mode which brings the rear suspension to its lowest position for easy trailer hook-up.
Integrated Towing Hardware
The 2022 RAM 3500 is capable of hitching both Fifth-Wheel and Gooseneck trailers. A factory-installed rear-axle structural crossmember features integrated mounting hardware for the available Fifth-Wheel/Gooseneck Prep Package.
