Second Generation

The second generation of the Jeep Compass is still the most current generation. When it came out for model year 2017, Jeep had redesigned it to resemble the Jeep Grand Cherokee in look and capabilities more closely. It still remains a compact SUV, however. The technology inside the cabin saw a complete overhaul, stepping up to align with the times and adding advanced infotainment and touchscreen technology. Driver assist and safety technologies were also added. Continuing on with its legacy of off-road capability, the Trailhawk trim was also introduced during this generation. This gave the Compass a model that could truly hit the trail with ease.
