What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the Jeep brand? For many drivers, it’s images of bulky, square-shaped vehicles climbing rocky trails deep in the wilderness somewhere. Or maybe you’ve always thought of the Jeep as a warm-weather cruising vehicle, and your mind wanders to a roofless, doorless Jeep blasting through the desert or urban landscape. Ultimately, these images celebrate the ruggedness of the Jeep brand, but really, a Jeep can be so much more.

When you visit a Jeep dealer near Covington, you may be shocked at the variety of vehicles you see. Some Jeeps are all-terrain baja beasts, for sure, but some are well-mannered luxurious vehicles that can help turn long commutes into enjoyable voyages. Some have impressive fuel economy, while others are electrified. It’s not all bash plates and departure angles. In fact, most of the Jeep lineup does not have removable doors.

So why do we say that Jeeps and Kentucky are a “match made in heaven?” It’s because there are so many options to choose from. Whether you spend most of your time on Route 71 or have a solid working knowledge of all the trails surrounding the Covington area, there’s a Jeep that offers the exact level of stability and excitement you’re looking for. Here are some of our Jeep suggestions for the many driving personalities of the Bluegrass State.

On the City Streets

The Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee were two of the most popular models in the early days of the SUV boom. Once rugged vehicles that lacked most creature comforts, the Grand Cherokee and Cherokee models today are very people-friendly. However, a lot has changed since the 1990s. Sadly, the Cherokee left the Jeep lineup, though the Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee 4xe have stepped up to fill the hole that its departure left in the hearts of drivers.

But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. “Grand” can mean both “elegant” and “large,” and the 2024 Grand Cherokee identifies with both of those terms. Passengers have loads of hip and shoulder room in the front and rear of the Grand Cherokee, while the maximum amount of cargo for the Grand Cherokee is 70.8. The 2024 Grand Cherokee is offered as both a 4×2 and 4×4, with the further option of two or three rows of seating for all but one of the nine available trims.

Also available is the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. This plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) combines a 2.0L gas-powered engine with an electric motor system. Drivers can select between all-gas, all-electric, or hybrid power consumption, giving you full control of fuel economy and battery usage. All told, the Grand Cherokee 4xe has an average fuel consumption of 56 MPGe, which may sound very attractive to those who have spent far more time than they wanted sitting in traffic.

In the Country

We also happen to live in a beautiful part of the country. From the rolling grassy hillsides of farm country to the caves and mountains in the southern part of the state, Kentucky is a glorious sight to behold from the road.

Perhaps you’re the type of driver who doesn’t necessarily need a vehicle that can ford a river, but maybe one that can take the family down to do a little camping now and then. Consider the seven to eight-seat Jeep Wagoneer family, which includes the Wagoneer, the Wagoneer L, the Grand Wagoneer, the Grand Wagoneer L, and the Wagoneer S. The L designation refers to a longer wheelbase—an additional 7 inches for the wheelbase and 12 inches of overall length for each. The S refers to the upcoming electrified Wagoneer, which shares the adventurous spirit and generous size of its gasoline-powered siblings while being 100% electric-powered.

Equipped with a fun 420 hp 3.0L V6 engine, the 2024 Wagoneer is offered in both 4×2 and 4×4 configurations, though the top Series III trim is offered in 4×4 only. While the Wagoneer is equipped with two available 4×4 systems and an available Selec-Terrain Traction Management System, these features add stability on the pavement as well as dirt roads. Those looking for even more of everything might select the Grand Wagoneer instead. With its 510-hp Hurricane twin-turbo engine, it is capable of a 5.9 second 0-60 mile per hour acceleration as well as towing loads up to 9,800 lbs.

If the rolling grassy hillsides are your home and not necessarily your vacation destination, consider the Jeep Gladiator. It’s not just an off-road capable pickup truck—it’s an off-road vehicle with a pickup bed. From running fences in the mud and rain to running bags of feed and equipment back and forth, the Gladiator handles mud, snow, sludge, rocky terrain, and pavement with no problem. Furthermore, 2024 Gladiator models can handle payloads up to 1,725 lbs or tow up to 7,700 lbs, making them pretty capable partners. And yes, you can take the roof and doors off for a little extra fun.

Where the Pavement Ends

It’s actually possible to select a Trail Rated model in every Jeep vehicle. Many drivers don’t know that the Compass Trailhawk is an actual rock star, with Selec-Terrain drive modes, available Active Drive Low 4×4 system for ultimate articulation, and high air intakes so you can cross more water than the average compact SUV. Is the Compass factory ready for major exploration of uncharted territory? No, but with the Trailhawk’s Trail Rated badge, Jeep happily endorses some beginner trails and unimproved roads.

But of course, the Jeep Wrangler gets the most credit as an off-roading vehicle, and for good reason. There are 8 different Wrangler trims. Many of these trims are offered in two or four-door configurations. Drivers can customize their Wranglers with fixed or removable hard or soft tops. Multiple 4×4 systems are available, ranging from impressive capability to extremely technical. With available features like Tru-Lok front and rear Electronic Locking Differentials, electric sway bars and rock rails, and a heavy-duty full-float rear axle, Wrangler models don’t necessarily need a road to get where they’re going. For every trail, there is a Jeep, though not every Jeep requires a trail—that part is entirely up to the driver.

Choosing the Right Jeep for Your Drivestyle

There are many advantages to having a rugged vehicle, even if your lifestyle doesn’t include anything bumpier than the occasional pothole. When the roads get wet or cold, many drivers find that all-wheel drive gives them peace of mind in addition to extra traction and balance. Sure, a Jeep is a great choice for all your off-roading needs, but even if you have no off-roading needs at all, a Jeep model can be a great choice for you, your family, and your sense of adventure.

Whether you fill the cargo area with your shopping, souvenirs, or survival supplies for a week in the wild, Jeep vehicles are prepared to get you wherever you need to go, whenever you need to drive there. Come in today and speak with our knowledgeable team. Tell them what you’re looking for in a Jeep vehicle, and they’ll offer you a variety of options to enhance your daily commute, weekend in the wilderness, and everything in between!

A silver 2025 Ram 1500 RHO parked in a dusty dirt area.

In late April 2024, Ram gave everyone in Northern Kentucky and the Greater Cincinnati Area yet another reason to visit a Ram dealer near Independence. In their announcement, Ram revealed plans for the all-new 2025 Ram 1500 RHO, the brand’s replacement for the long-gone Ram 1500 TRX. For Independence drivers, this means more freedom to explore than ever before.

Said to be “The Strongest Ram 1500 Ever,” the RHO’s claim to fame is that it provides more horsepower for your dollar compared to other premium off-road-oriented full-size pickup trucks. However, the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO is more than just higher horsepower and torque figures—impressive though those numbers may be. Here’s what we know about the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO so far and why we think it will be an excellent addition to the streets (and trails) of Northern Kentucky.

Performance and Capability

Ram has been very excited about sharing the power and performance details of the 1500 RHO, and for a good reason, as these numbers are awfully impressive.

Stellantis has gotten a lot of attention in the past two years for their Hurricane Twin-Turbo engines, which currently include Standard Output and High Output versions. This 3.0L inline-six powerhouse replaces the beloved 6.2L Hellcat engine in many Stellantis models, including the Ram 1500, Jeep Wagoneer, and the upcoming Dodge Charger.

The Hurricane High Output Straight-Six Turbo engine under the hood of the Ram 1500 RHO will provide 540 hp and 521 lb-ft of torque. Not only is this an improvement in power, but Ram also states that fuel economy and emissions will be notably different as well—in a positive way. The RHO’s powertrain is lighter, more efficient, and offers a more nimble driving feel.

That being said, the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO is still a highly capable truck. The maximum towing capacity is 8,380 lbs, and the payload maximum is 1,520 lbs. And don’t forget that this is an off-roading truck, so it has a boosted 11.8-inch ground clearance, thanks to a two-inch height increase over the other trims in its lineup. Also boasting 35-inch tires, the Ram 1500 RHO is suited for fording water up to 32 inches without issue.

A range of selectable drive modes allows drivers to tailor their experience behind the wheel to what’s happening beneath them. These modes include Auto, Tow, Mud/Sand, Rock, Snow, Sport, Baja, Custom, and Valet. There are also some handy upgrades, such as Launch Control and engagement switches for the BorgWarner 48-13 full-time active transfer case. Whether you want to go very fast or travel in very low gear, the Ram 1500 RHO is ready to go.

A close up of buttons in a 2025 Ram 1500 RHO at a Ram dealer near Independence.

What About the Ride?

For many drivers, the ride refers to two things: the way the vehicle handles and how nice that experience is from the driver’s seat. The two definitions are very much related, and the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO has given great consideration to both.

As an off-road-ready truck, the Ram 1500 RHO includes an independent front suspension system made with high-strength aluminum front upper and lower control arms; the size, travel rate, and materials of this system provide this off-road truck with some of the most articulate suspension performance in the Ram lineup.

Inside the cabin, your comfort begins with a well-designed interior. Ram decided to give the 1500 RHO equal doses of practicality and luxury—so, to offset the mud-hungry attitude of the exterior, the interior is clad in Natural Plus leather and suede seating. Proving their luxury further, the front and rear bucket seats are heated and ventilated, and the front seats include massage and memory settings.

A performance floor shifter wrapped in leather and aluminum paddle shifters can be accessed both above and below the steering wheel, and it leaves the driver feeling both in charge and swaddled in luxury.

Then there are the screens. The highlight of the 2025 Ram 1500 lineup is a cutting-edge “cockpit” that offers over fifty inches of digital display screens; this includes a 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen on the RHO. As the centerpiece of the cabin, this screen can be configured to provide all of the media, connectivity, and setting shortcuts needed, and its Uconnect 5 architecture adds speed and ease of use.

The Ram 1500 RHO’s front-seat passenger receives their own class-exclusive 10.25-inch touchscreen, which allows them to manage navigation and entertainment from the co-pilot seat, along with managing exterior camera views of the vehicle. They can also connect their own devices via an HDMI cord, allowing the passenger screen to mirror that of their device.

The driver receives a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster that can be configured to display over two dozen different vehicle menus, from drowsy driver recognition to a digital tachometer. Many of these features can be shown on the up to 10.0-inch full-color head-up display. Essentially, the Ram 1500 RHO does its best to ensure drivers are fully informed at every moment.

In Terms of Technology

In the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO press release, Ram acknowledges that this was “designed to be the most technologically advanced pickup ever.” While we’re still waiting for all of the details to be released, it does seem that the new Ram 1500 RHO has an incredible array of comfort, convenience, and connectivity features.

In addition to the information and infotainment screens, the Ram 1500 RHO includes class-exclusive dual device wireless charging capability, along with USB connection points that have been clearly shaped for ease of use. Another class-exclusive feature is the 900-watt premium Harman Kardon audio system, which allows you to experience your favorite tunes through 19 speakers and a ten-inch subwoofer.

The 2025 Ram 1500 RHO will include over a hundred standard and available safety, security, and driver assistance features. While the full list has not been published, Ram has confirmed that Evasive Steering Assist (which helps drivers avoid forward-moving collisions), Intersection Collision Assist System, Drowsy Driver Detection, and Traffic Sign Recognition are present. Drivers will also have the opportunity to try out Ram’s hands-free driving technology, which provides automated driving capability on pre-mapped highways (though trail-friendly navigation technology is starting to improve in our part of the world, too).

In addition to the drive modes, Launch Control, and transfer case switches, a multifunction switch bank and available Trailer Reverse Steer Controls are also easily accessed from the driver’s seat. Between the cockpit and the technology offered, RHO drivers may be about to experience Northern Kentucky in a whole new way.

More to Come…

As we get closer to the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO’s release date, we expect to learn even more about what this multi-functional, high-powered, and highly-anticipated vehicle can do.

In the meantime, early reports from experts and sources indicate this pickup truck will be an off-roading legend. Still, it would be a shame not to put horsepower figures like these to work within city limits—perhaps even at a local track or drag strip!

As we see more off-road-ready trucks hit the market, we also see an increase in happy off-road drivers. Whether you’re a seasoned trail runner or are new to dipping your tires in the mud, the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO promises to be a next-level all-terrain experience for us all.

The 2024 Wrangler provides a quality lineup of excellent trim options to choose from and contains a little something unique for everyone while getting you where you need to go. On this year’s lineup, we have the Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, and Rubicon X—all including powerful performance, special features, and a durable shell to keep you and your vehicle protected while off-roading.

2024 Jeep Wrangler Sport

The standard or base trim of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler is the Sport, which starts with an MSRP of $31,995.[a] The Sport trim provides stellar power with the Wrangler’s standard 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine, which offers 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. You can choose either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission with this engine. The 8-speed automatic transmission is standard for the rest of the Wrangler’s trim levels. With this engine and the manual transmission, the two-door Sport can tow up to 2,000 lbs, while the four-door model can tow up to 3,500 lbs. With the Sport trim, you’ll receive a classic Wrangler with enough get-up-and-go to start your day on the wild side.

On all Jeep Wrangler trims, drivers will love the standard 12.3-inch touchscreen display that includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, handsfree phone and audio, and a trial subscription to a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. More features and an upgraded sound system are available on the other Jeep Wrangler trims.

2024 Jeep Wrangler Sport S

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sport S trim level is only just above the base model with an MSRP of $35,595.[a] With the Sport S, you can add the Safety Group package which will add confidence to any drive, whether you jump onto the highway, stay in the city limits, or find yourself off the paved path. The features in this available package include automatic high-beam headlights, a blind spot monitor, and ParkSense Rear Park-Assist.

How about when you’re having off-roading adventures and are ducking under loose tree branches or kicking up rocks? Will the Sport S be durable enough to handle the pressure? Of course, and with the bonus of a sturdy windshield made from Corning Gorilla glass, you are sure to minimize and prevent damage from occurring. So, sit back and relax, listening to your premium Alpine Audio system (that is available for the Sport S trim), and let the exterior shell handle the outdoor surprises.

2024 Jeep Wrangler Willys

The next trim up is the iconic Willys, with an MSRP of $40,090.[a] The standard engine on the Willys is the same 3.6L V6 with either the 6-speed manual transmission or the 8-speed automatic included on the Sport. You can also opt for an available 2.0L 4-cylinder engine on this trim that yields 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque.

This trim serves a unique exterior design with special Willy hood decals, LED lights, and a stunning black grille. There are many customization options with available safety and technology group packages so you can make the Willys your own. A one-touch power top is available on this trim and is convenient for off-roading adventures or for those sunny days, when you want to feel the wind blow through your hair. However, you can only opt for this feature with the four-door model.

When you choose the Willys trim, you’ll also gain access to nice comfort features like heated seats and a heated steering wheel for chilly days, and you can opt for a nine-speaker Alpine premium audio system.

2024 Jeep Wrangler Sahara

The next trim up is the Sahara. While only available with four doors, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sahara has ten color options, an available body-color three-piece hardtop, 18-inch wheels, and body-colored fender flares for a head-turning appearance. You can be the talk of Independence when you drive around town in this vehicle! Of course, this Jeep trim option also provides powerful LED lighting for better visibility and nighttime driving convenience.

This trim begins with an MSRP of $49,790 and comes standard with the 2.0L 4-cylinder engine, though it can also be fitted with the 3.6L V6 engine.[a] Drivers will find that this trim can tow up to 3,500 lbs when the model is properly equipped. Along with these alterations, the Sahara doesn’t stop there. You can opt for a few different side-step options, including black tubular side steps and chrome tubular side steps.

With the Sahara, you can also opt for the Alpine audio system so you can rock out to your favorite playlist or listen to a good podcast as you are traveling. The Sahara trim can be equipped with an off-roading camera called the TrailCam Forward Facing Off-Road Camera, so you can see exactly what’s going on in front of you. Plus, you’ll never get lost again if you opt for the GPS navigation system that is available.

2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon

You can’t talk about the iconic Jeep Wrangler without discussing the Jeep Rubicon. This performance-focused trim starts at an MSRP of $47,390 and can be found in either two or four doors, unlike the Sahara trim.[a] Regardless of which Wrangler Rubicon trim you swing for, you’ll be getting a vehicle you absolutely love. With a durable body and off-roading tires, this Wrangler can take you anywhere you want to go and beyond—all without breaking a sweat. It is a reliable, well-rounded machine with upgrades to its exterior appearance, like special decals and an available Xtreme 35 Package with 35-inch wheels.

Like the previous trim, it also features available trailer tow and auxiliary switches, as well as the Class-Exclusive One-Touch Power Top that adds convenience to your drive. It is even able to be fitted with WARN winch with steel bumpers. The Rubicon offers more than you could imagine.

2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X offers the best of everything the Wrangler has to offer, adding more benefits to your daily adventures and providing more for your money. With an MSRP of $57,390, you will receive powerful performance and capability, as well as winch-capable steel bumpers and 35-inch tires.[a] You’ll also find an impressive interior design and comfort that offers Nappa-leather trimmed seats with heated power front seats. When you choose the Rubicon X, you’ll get everything that makes a Wrangler exceptional, with a TrailCam, trim exclusive exterior designs, and a navigation system included. A red 2024 Ram 2500 HD Limited is shown from the front at an angle in close-up.

Ram is easily the most refined and unique among the domestic brands that manufacture pickup trucks. Ever since Ram and Dodge separated from one another, Ram has been able to apply its focus solely on its series of trucks, which blend a substantial amount of sophistication to coincide with its prowess and performance. For the residents who live in Covington, a place that shares proximity to both the Licking and Ohio Rivers, as well as Cincinnati, Ohio, there’s a level of quality and workmanship that its blue-collared workers look for when it comes to the vehicles they own and operate. Among the items that Ram has to offer, the 2500 HD is built for the working world and can be utilized for multiple applications in towing and trailering, making the most difficult of tasks relatively easy.

Available in many trims tailored for specific purposes, finding a Ram 2500 for sale near Covington is as easy as taking a trip to Dan Cummins CDJR of Georgetown. This trim guide makes choosing the right Ram 2500 for your needs even more accessible. We’ll review each one, explaining what comes standard and what is available so you’ll better understand what to look for when you come to see us.

Ram 2500 Tradesman

For those who require an essential vehicle for workplace applications, the Tradesman, the base trim of the Ram 2500, is an excellent choice that will allow you to complete all your tasks with exceptional efficiency. The Tradesman comes with two different cab configurations: a regular cab with an 8-ft bed or a crew cab with the option of a 6.4-ft or 8-ft bed.

Always one to offer their drivers the very best by way of performance, all versions of the Ram 2500 come standard with a 6.4L HEMI V8. The HEMI has impressive specifications, providing 410 hp and the capacity to generate an impressive 429 lb-ft of torque. Drivers looking to achieve more in the area of towing power can upgrade to a 6.7L Cummins diesel-fueled six-cylinder engine with 370 hp and the ability to generate an impressive 875 lb-ft of torque.

Attributes of performance aside, the Tradesman also offers an interior built for messier tasks, thanks to vinyl flooring, while access to Uconnect 5 software with integrated voice commands via a five-inch infotainment screen offers a whole new level of convenience.

Ram 2500 Big Horn

The next in the hierarchy of trims for the Ram 2500 is the Big Horn. Much like the Tradesman, it’s an excellent asset for workplace applications, but a noticeable upgrade in style and comfort will appeal to many drivers. The Big Horn is exclusively paired with 4WD and comes in a crew cab with the option of a 6.4-ft or 8-ft bed. For drivers in Covington who might want a work vehicle that can help facilitate some weekend adventures, such as a trip to Devou Park or exploring some of the wide open spaces close to Bromley, the Big Horn is an economical option for both work and play.

One of the first notable upgrades that drivers will notice is an increase in chrome accents on the bumpers to elevate the truck’s aesthetic. 18-inch alloy wheels, an electronic brake controller, and compatibility with a satellite radio join these. Some more refined items on the Big Horn include a larger 8.4-inch infotainment screen compatible with Apple, Android, and even Alexa Built-In integration.

Ram 2500 Laramie

The Laramie is where we first start to see the Ram 2500 enter into the realms of sophistication that it’s been known for in recent years. Available with either 2WD or 4WD, the Laramie is when the mega cab first comes available and pairs with a 6.4-ft bed. This bed is also available with the crew cab and the eight-foot bed for those who want to utilize as much storage as possible.

The interior of the Laramie is decked out with multiple items that are perfect for those who want to get the most out of comfort and technology. Leather seating, a nine-speaker stereo system from Alpine, and standard navigation compatible with Amazon Alexa, Android, and Apple products are all standard. For those looking to take their entertainment experience to a new level of excitement, a 17-speaker stereo from Harman Kardon is available along with wireless charging capability. More chrome accents dot the vehicle’s exterior, elevating its style to a unique level that makes a memorable first impression.

A red 2024 Ram 2500 Rebel is shown from the side while parked off-road.

Ram 2500 Rebel

Of all the trims available for the Ram 2500, the Rebel is one of the most unique. It’s not only exclusive to the 2500 but also exclusively equipped with 4WD and a crew cab configuration with a 6.4-ft bed. Unlike the previous two trims, which emphasize luxury, the Rebel is built for off-road performance, and anyone who lives near Covington is well aware of the areas around Kentucky and Ohio that are perfect for such an adventure. Some items made to facilitate adventures on the road less traveled include special Bilstein shocks, 20-inch alloy wheels, a suspension fine-tuned for any terrain, and a locking rear differential.

Ram 2500 Power Wagon

The Power Wagon trim is what happens when the Rebel gets a serious heavy-duty upgrade. Like the Rebel, the Power Wagon is formulated for the road less traveled and is also exclusively paired with 4WD and a crew cab with a 6.4-foot bed. The Power Wagon builds on the off-roading qualities of the Rebel and offers some more enticing items to conquer any terrain. These include a class-exclusive electronic locking front differential and a disconnecting sway bar. The Power Wagon also contains stylistic choices, such as black aluminum wheels that offer an intimidating appearance. The Rebel and Power Wagon are perfect for off-roading enthusiasts and make any adventure well within the realm of possibility.

Ram 2500 Limited Longhorn

As you might have naturally assumed from its name alone, the Limited Longhorn is the gunslinger of the Ram 2500. Its bright chrome grill and interior, along with wood paneling for an aesthetic reminiscent of the Old West, performance, and prestige are the names commonly associated with the Limited Longhorn. The Limited Longhorn and the trim following it are exclusively paired with 4WD and either a crew or mega cab configuration with a 6.4-foot bed.

Items grace the interior, including leather seats with heating and ventilation, a 12-inch Digital gauge cluster, and the highly coveted Alpine stereo system. The combination of wood and leather interior elevates the Limited Longhorn to the furthest heights of refinement, making it perfect for Covington drivers who want to fulfill their modern cowboy lifestyle.

The off-roading market is an exciting area of the automotive industry, promoting adventure at every turn. Perhaps it is the draw of the trails that have you looking for a Jeep Wrangler for sale near Independence, but in order to know if the Jeep Wrangler is right for you, it is important to explore your options. In the rugged world of outdoor adventure, two iconic names stand out: the Jeep Wrangler and the Ford Bronco. These rugged SUVs have long been favorites among adventure enthusiasts, known for their unparalleled capability and versatility in tackling the toughest terrain. While the Ford Bronco has made a triumphant return to the scene, the Jeep Wrangler continues to reign supreme, offering a combination of heritage, performance, and off-road prowess that simply can’t be beaten.

When it comes to off-road heritage, both the Jeep Wrangler and the Ford Bronco have rich histories. In fact, Ford played an instrumental role in the development of the Jeep. With roots that trace back to World War II, Jeep and Ford both have a reputation for conquering the toughest trails and exploring the most rugged terrain. It was input from Willys-Overland and Ford that resulted in the Jeep that started it all. However, things do have a habit of changing and while the Ford Bronco is brought to us by a company that clearly knows what they are doing, the Jeep Wrangler is truly one-of-a-kind. Over the decades, the Wrangler has evolved into the ultimate off-road machine, with each generation building upon the legacy of its predecessors.

Engine Options

From rugged base models to fully loaded editions with all the bells and whistles, these iconic SUVs provide drivers with a wide range of choices to customize their vehicles to their exact specifications. Both options also offer retro, throw-back trim options for the nostalgic at heart. Four-door and two-door options on the Wrangler and the Bronco are yet another way to customize your ride, letting you decide the aesthetic and amount of space.

When it comes to conquering rugged trails and navigating challenging terrain, the engine powering your off-road vehicle is crucial. In the battle of the Titans between the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco, both offer impressive powertrains, but the Wrangler stands out with its versatile lineup of four engine options compared to the Bronco’s three, especially since one of those options is a robust V8.

The first engine option of the Jeep Wrangler is a potent plug-in hybrid electric powertrain that combines a turbocharged gasoline engine with an electric motor and a high-voltage battery pack. Instant torque and seamless power delivery let you accelerate from a standstill or tackle steep inclines. The legendary 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine is the second option that strikes the perfect balance of power and efficiency. Paired with either a manual or automatic transmission, this renowned power train delivers a performance you are sure to love. The third option is the available 2.0L turbocharged engine, which delivers an impressive 295 lb-ft of torque and 270 hp, providing outstanding off-road performance that’s second to none.

The Jeep Wrangler’s class-exclusive 6.4L HEMI V8 engine challenges every rival and wins. With best-in-class maximum 470 hp and 470 lb-ft, this powerhouse is ready to conquer off-road trails or cruise through city streets with unparalleled force and capability. Another best-in-class is its maximum towing capacity of 3,500 lbs. With such vigor, this powerhouse can haul trailers, boats, or other recreational equipment with ease, making it ideal for weekend getaways or outdoor adventures at Doe Run Lake Park.

On the flip side, the Bronco’s base engine option is the turbocharged 2.3L in-line four-cylinder engine, which packs plenty of pep and power to tackle off-road trails and urban adventures alike. For drivers craving even more muscle, the Bronco offers the twin-turbocharged 2.7L V6 engine, a high-performance powerhouse that delivers exhilarating acceleration, and lastly, the top of the engine lineup is the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine, which offers 418 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque. Despite the acclaim, the Bronco simply doesn’t hold up against a PHEV or a growling V8.

Formidable 4x4s

Both vehicles are designed to go off-road or help you to live life on the adventurous side, but that doesn’t mean they are created equally. The Wrangler offers several different 4×4 systems, while the Bronco only has one. The Advanced 4×4 with Automatic On-Demand Engagement works great with the Ford’s G.O.A.T. Drive Modes, but when it comes to all-around 4×4 prowess, it is the Wrangler for the win. Whether you are going off-road or checking out Memorial Park, the Wrangler can handle it all.

One of the Wrangler’s most iconic 4×4 systems is the Command-Trac system, renowned for its durability and versatility. Standard on most Wrangler models, this part-time 4×4 system features a two-speed transfer case that allows drivers to switch between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive modes with ease. For those who prioritize versatility and convenience, the Wrangler offers the Selec-Trac 4×4 system. This full-time 4×4 system also features a two-speed transfer case, so transitioning is just as seamless. With its automatic mode, the Selec-Trac system continuously monitors road conditions and adjusts torque to get optimal traction and stability in all situations.

For drivers seeking even more off-road capability, the Wrangler offers the Rock-Trac 4×4 system, which is a heavy-duty system that provides enhanced control and maneuverability in extreme off-road conditions. With its electronic locking front and rear differentials and electronic sway bar disconnect, the Rock-Trac system doesn’t just offer ideal traction but also maneuverability. Part of the Wrangler’s 4×4 system’s appeal is that it makes handling power easier. This is enhanced with the addition of a heavy-duty full-float rear axle.

The Wrangler’s heavy-duty full-float rear axle is designed specifically to handle more power and, in return, withstand the rigors of off-road driving. This innovative design provides increased strength and durability compared to semi-float rear axles, ensuring that the Wrangler can handle the toughest trails and obstacles with ease. Spend the day hitting the trails and finish it off relaxing at Crewitts Creek Kitchen & Bar with friends.

Now, despite the many 4×4 systems of the Wrangler, that isn’t to say that the Bronco is lacking. The G.O.A.T. Drive Modes that are available make up for a lot. Ranging from Normal to Rock Crawl, the available drive modes make it easier to tackle the rugged unknown. But in the end, you probably want to be in the Wrangler when the road ends and take advantage of all of its off-road performance enhancements.

For the Ultimate Off-Road Experience, Check Out the Jeep Wrangler

The Ford Bronco and the Jeep Wrangler both honor their legacies while embracing the future of the industry. However, with its legendary capability, innovative technology, and relentless spirit, the Wrangler embodies the spirit of exploration and discovery better than any other SUV on the market today. Its sheer strength and ingenuity are an empowering combination of features that allows drivers to confidently and easily conquer every trail.

Despite the focus of the Wrangler, it is actually so much more than just a capable off-road vehicle; it’s a symbol of freedom, adventure, and endless possibility. With its iconic design, open-air driving experience, and unbeatable versatility, the Wrangler inspires drivers to explore new horizons and push the boundaries of what’s possible.

A blue 2024 Ram 2500 for sale near Covington is shown driving on a highway.

Few areas of the auto industry are as competitive as the truck market–this is where every manufacturer goes all out to make the biggest, most powerful, and most impressive trucks they can possibly design. If you’re looking for a Ram 2500 for sale near Covington, then you might already know how remarkable Ram trucks are, though you might also be wondering how it stacks up against the competition.

There’s no denying that the Chevy Silverado 2500 HD is also one of the most highly regarded trucks on the road when it comes to full-size models with more to offer than the standard light-duty pickups out there. That being said, even Chevy struggles to keep up with the impressive capability and features you can find with the Ram 2500, which is saying something. You don’t simply have to take our word for it though; let’s look at some key ways the 2024 Ram 2500 is more capable and convenient compared to the Silverado 2500.

#1. Greater Maximum Payload Capacity

Although there are plenty of things you want from a truck, at the top of the list for many of us is a lot of power and functionality that comes with it. A powerful engine is great, of course, but more than numbers on a page, what matters most is actual capability. This is one way that the 2024 Ram 2500 comes through particularly when looking at payload rating and how much stuff you can load onto it. Whether you need to get some tools and supplies to a job site or you want to pack up coolers and equipment for a weekend of camping, high payload capacity is a must with any truck like this.

You have two engines available on both of these trucks, each with its own payload and towing capacities, so keep that in mind. There are also numerous factors that can impact the kind of weight your truck can handle, so be sure to look at the specific ratings and specs for any model you’re interested in. This being said, the 2024 Ram 2500, when properly equipped, can handle up to 4,000 lbs of maximum payload; by comparison, the Chevy Silverado 2500 HD tops out at just 3,689 lbs of maximum payload, even with its best configuration. This is a significant difference that can really matter if you’re looking to load up with as much stuff as possible before you hit the road and just one of the reasons we choose the Ram 2500 over other trucks.

A silver 2024 Ram 2500 Laramie is shown parked on grass.

#2. The Incredible RamBox Cargo Management System

Impressive capability is great, but we know plenty of people who look for convenience features above just about anything else. We get it–you’re going to use your truck every day and anything it can do to make your life easier is a welcome addition. Whether you’re driving around Covington taking care of business or taking your family to see Fiona at the Cincinnati Zoo on the weekend, anything that helps you with that is invaluable. That’s one of the reasons we love the RamBox Cargo Management System and how easy it is to bring the stuff you need.

The class-exclusive RamBox Cargo Management System gives you two lockable, drainable storage bins on the sides of your truck bed, making it easy to keep tools you commonly need with you without giving up precious space in the bed of your truck and keep them secure. Since you can drain these storage areas, you can also use them as a cooler–just fill one with ice, toss in your beverages, and away you go. They feature LED lighting and there’s even a front driver-side 115-volt power outlet that lets you power external devices. The Chevy Silverado 2500 has some nice storage options but nothing as impressive as the available RamBox system.

#3. Massive Fuel Tank Capacity

As you’re trying to choose the right truck, you have a lot of different things to keep track of like towing and payload, engine options, and much more. One thing that’s easy to overlook is fuel economy and how much gas you can put into your pickup. The problem with not considering that, however, is that you can easily end up with a truck that works well but has you constantly stopping for gas–this is a nuisance whether you’re trying to get some work done or just enjoying your day off. The 2024 Ram 2500 has the largest-in-class available fuel tank with a capacity of 50 gallons. This is a massive gas tank that you can fill up on Monday, drive all week, and still have plenty more to get you through the weekend. Chevy’s largest available fuel tank on the Silverado 2500 HD doesn’t even come close at just 36 gallons.

#4. Ram’s Class-Exclusive Auto-Level Rear Air Suspension

Great performance in a truck means more than just a powerful engine, though Ram certainly delivers in that regard with a standard 410-hp 6.4L HEMI V8 engine and an available 6.7L Cummins turbo diesel with 850 lb-ft of torque. Truly great performance means engineering that keeps you comfortable on the road and ensures you’re always in control while driving around Covington. This might start with the engine but it extends through other systems like the exhaust and, perhaps most importantly, the suspension.

With the 2024 Ram 2500 you can get a class-exclusive available Auto-Level Rear Air Suspension system that beats everything else out there. This includes a Bed Lowering Mode that makes hooking up a trailer quick and easy when towing. The air suspension is not only incredibly comfortable and functional, but it’s also perfect for keeping you in control even if the road gets rough. And if you want your truck for heading off-road or you work in forestry and need something that can go just about anywhere, then you’ll appreciate this as an option for the Ram 2500’s four-wheel drive system.

A close-up of the infotainment screen in a 2024 Ram 2500 is shown.

#5. Innovative Technology Throughout

Although plenty of people say they just want a simple, straightforward truck, we don’t hear them complain when innovative technology makes their lives easier. The 2024 Ram 2500 is the most advanced Ram heavy-duty ever and it includes standard and available features that aren’t just for show–they improve your driving experience. For example, there’s a 12-inch Driver Information Digital Cluster Display that’s available, providing you with vehicle dynamics and diagnostics that are perfect for towing a heavy load, a gauge summary that can include things like exhaust brake performance with a diesel engine, and turn-by-turn navigation to ensure you get to where you’re going.

You have Trailer Tow Pages available that include things like a Trailer Light Check, Trailer Brake Status, and more, plus Off-Road Pages with details like traction control and gear shifting. Add in an available Digital Rearview Mirror that can show rearview and both side mirror angles all on one display, plus an available tow mode camera to give you a clear view behind a trailer you’re towing, and you have incredible visibility that’s perfect for maneuvering through a crowded job site or safe highway driving. The available 12-inch infotainment display with Uconnect 5 software is great for easy navigation and helps transform your truck into a mobile office, keeping you connected even when you’re on the road. While the Silverado 2500 HD has some impressive tech features, overall we prefer the way the Ram 2500 brings it all together.

Great Trucks for Covington Drivers

As you can see, the 2024 Ram 2500 has an incredible range of features designed to improve your daily drive and help you get your job done. The fact that many of these things work just as well for improving your time off is the icing on this particular cake; it’s why so many people choose the Ram 2500 as both a work truck and for personal use. No matter what you need from your next pickup, Ram has you covered with some of the most powerful and sophisticated trucks on the road. All you have to do is decide on the kind of performance, features, and advanced tech you’re looking for from your next truck, and we can make sure you find it. Then you’ll have a vehicle that gives you more than any other pickup on the road.

A black 2023 Ram 1500 Classic parked in a city alleyway after visiting a dealer with a Ram 1500 for sale near Lawrenceburg.

Over the years, RAM has created several dynamic and unique trims for its light duty, full-size pickup truck, the Ram 1500. It only makes sense, seeing as the profile of a truck driver has rapidly evolved and expanded. While we appreciate the versatility of the models found in this truck lineup, we also know that some traditionalists miss the stripped down, hard-working roots of the earlier Ram 1500 models. We have a solution for those drivers: the Ram 1500 Classic.

If you are looking for a Ram 1500 for sale near Lawrenceburg, and you are after a wallet-friendly, simple but sturdy work truck, we would love to show you the Ram 1500 Classic. For those who know of it, it has something of a cult following. It’s been around since 2009 and you will quickly see why. It offers a little something different than the other Ram 1500 models and we think drivers in this corner of Kentucky will really appreciate it.

The Ram 1500 Classic Keeps Engine Options Simple

The regular Ram 1500 has three engines including two V8s and a V6. The Ram 1500 Classic sticks to the basics with just one V6 engine and one V8 engine, so drivers have two clear choices: opt for the more fuel-efficient V6 if you regularly commute to nearby Lexington or make the further drive to Louisville to enjoy big city life, or get the V8 if you need maximum towing and payload power out of your pickup.

When people ask us which powertrain is best for them, we say, if you were looking for a vehicle that will mostly move large equipment across job sites, stick to the V8. If you were looking for a daily driver and commuter, stick to the V6.

Taking Trims Down a Notch (Or Six)

Now we will go over the trims. The regular Ram 1500 has eight trims, boasting all sorts of personalities from an off-road variant to a luxury variant to even a western themed one. The Ram 1500 Classic keeps it, well, classic. There are only two trims for this model: The Tradesman and the Warlock. You will likely notice that the regular Ram 1500 also has a Tradesman. However, the Warlock trim is exclusive to the Ram 1500 Classic and it is a very special trim.

The Warlock trim is designed to turn heads and is distinctly more rugged and aggressive looking than any other Ram 1500 truck. It has Ram lettering across the grille that’s exclusive to this model, 20-inch wheels with a high-gloss, black aluminum finish and white lettering, holding beefy all-season tires. These tires will get you the traction you need during the rainy and sunny months in Kentucky. Additional style features of the Warlock include black powder coated front and rear bumpers and LED fog lamps, which look striking and also have a terrific function.

The Tradesman of the Ram 1500 Classic gets you heavy-duty vinyl bench seating, so if your coworkers, kids or four-legged friends are rough on your truck, the long lasting, hard wearing upholstery of the Tradesman seats can handle it. Additionally, it has heavy-duty front and rear shock absorbers, offering a smoother ride when you leave the paved roads for bumpy country ones on the outskirts of Lawrenceburg.

The Ram 1500 Classic Tradesman also looks distinctly more rugged than the regular Ram 1500 Tradesman. It has a more pronounced front bumper, a more distinct grille and a raised hood that clearly make it a nod to Ram’s rugged and hard-working roots.

Both of these models get under seat storage. So when you stop by Four Roses or Woodford Reserve distillery and want to bring home a case or two of bottles, you can get these under your seats, rather than leaving them exposed in the truck bed. Additionally, you’ll find more physical knobs and buttons in the Classic, which differ from the very modern touch screens of the Ram 1500. Some drivers like this more “old-school” functionality.

Let’s Talk Pricing

So what about price? Whether you need to save some extra dollars to spend at the Lawrenceburg Walmart Supercenter or want to buy a membership to the nearby Lexington country club, you can put a little extra cash in your pocket when you buy the Ram 1500 Classic as compared to a traditional Ram 1500. The starting MSRP for the starting trim is lower for the Ram 1500 Classic compared to regular Ram 1500 models.

The range of prices, from bottom to top, is also much smaller for the Ram 1500 Classic compared to the Ram 1500. Newer Ram 1500 models can reach figures in the $60,000-range and even exceed $90,000.[a] The Ram 1500 Classic price range sits well over $20,000 below that, with a starting MSRP of $38,905, making it the obvious choice for drivers working on financial goals.[a]

Other Configurations to Choose From

Both models are available in either 4×4 or rear wheel drive options. So consider the environments you regularly travel and ask yourself what sort of traction you need. On the cab front, either one is available in the crew cab or the quad cab, so you can opt for seating for five or six. As for boxes, the crew cab will be equipped with a 5‘7“ box and the quad cab will be equipped with a 6‘4“ box.

Some of the regular Ram 1500 trims only come in a 4×4 or a 4×2 model. We appreciate that both of the Ram 1500 Classic models are available in either configuration, so no matter what features you prefer, you can have the traction or fuel economy that you need.

The Ram 1500 Classic Offers a Simplified Version of Their Traditional Ram 1500 Model

The battle of the beasts is fierce, forcing the top names in the industry to push the boundaries of innovation. It is here where you will find powerful trucks from Ram and Chevy going head to head for pickup truck supremacy.

With the new model year already on the horizon, 2025 models are beginning the throwdown to see which brand will come out on top. As we step into the year 2025, the showdown between the Ram 1500 and the Chevy Silverado has reached new heights, with Ram poised to take the lead in this epic battle. If this exceptional full-size truck has piqued your interest and you’re looking for a Ram 1500 for sale near Independence, it’s time to see for yourself at Dan Cummins Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Georgetown.

The 2025 Ram 1500 has come to win with its bold design, powerful performance, advanced technology, and luxurious comfort. With both trucks showing up ready to play, it can be a bit difficult to decide which one is the one to beat. The legacy of both brands is rich with success, victory and of course, innovation and yet the Ram 1500 seems to be pulling ahead for the new model year. Independence serves as a fantastic battleground to test which truck claims superiority in the realm of pickup trucks. Let’s take a closer look at how the Ram 1500 is ready to take the full-size pickup crown.

A Detailed Design

If you think about it, design isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s a statement of strength, character, and innovation. It is the first glimpse we get into what something is all about. This seems to be especially true when considering vehicles and how their designs change with the times, sometimes for the better and sometimes not. If you are a fan of the Ram, then we are sure you have already seen that the Ram is an expression of greatness. With its bold and distinctive appearance, the Ram sets itself apart, leaving competitors like the Silverado trailing in its wake.

At first glance, the 2025 Ram exudes a bold and confident attitude, one that makes you want to climb behind the steering wheel and hit the open road. Its striking grille is adorned with the iconic Ram emblem, no matter which trim you choose. Sandwiched between the Ram’s blocky headlamps and atop a monster sized bumper, the Ram demands attention on the road. The muscular lines and chiseled contours give the Ram a sense of strength and a presence you can’t deny. In contrast, the Silverado, while undoubtedly rugged, lacks the same level of boldness in its design, blending into the background rather than making a statement.

The designers of the 2025 Ram showed a, no detail is too small, type of attitude. From the intricate grille designs to the unique walk-up animation lighting, every element has been carefully crafted to perfection. The all-new Tungsten trim takes this titan to new heights, with sophistication and luxury. In comparison, the Silverado falls short in terms of attention to detail, with design elements that feel more functional than inspired. Whether you are taking things easy at Memorial Park or looking for a sophisticated place like Atwood Hill Winery to show off your wheels, the Ram can and will fit in everywhere you go.

The Performance Factor

The 2025 Ram offers an arsenal of potent engine options, each made to deliver optimal performance while maintaining efficiency. The High-Output 3.0L Hurricane I6 engine is a prime example of what possibilities await. The Hurricane is predicted to outperform the competition, including some of the heavy-duty hitters we have all come to know. This includes being more powerful than the Chevy Silverado ZR2. Available with not one, but two Hurricane engine options, the Ram 1500 is dominating the 2025 model year.

The High-Output Hurricane is expected to max out at 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque. Higher horsepower translates to improved performance, capabilities, and acceleration, while higher torque means improved acceleration from a standstill, improved off-road capabilities and improved towing. When properly equipped, the Ram 1500 has a max tow capacity of 10,740 and a max payload of 1,370. So, whether you are looking to tow heavy loads, take your truck off-road or just experience the open road the right way, the Ram 1500 is your truck.

The other Hurricane engine is also a 3.0L I6 and while still very powerful, it balances its horsepower and torque to provide a boosted towing and hauling capacity. A max of 420 horses and 469 lb-ft of torque equates to an impressive 11,560 towing capacity. Even the payload is bulked up to allow for up to 1,910 pounds of cargo. Load up the gear and fish at Doe Run Loop and get the most out of Independence and the Ram.

The last engine option is the 3.6L Pentastar V6 With eTorque which has lower max horsepower and torque but a higher payload max thanks to the mild hybrid system at play. One of the key benefits of the eTorque system is its ability to provide instant torque assistance during low-speed acceleration and off-the-line starts. A towing capacity of 8,100 pounds and an impressive payload max of 2,300 pounds for recreation or fun. The Ram’s powertrain options provide the muscle needed to conquer any task with confidence. And, while the Silverado may offer similar engine choices, it fails to match the refinement and power output found in the Ram’s lineup.

The Ram’s Towing Technology

Equipped with cutting edge technology, the Ram demonstrates above-average prowess in towing, hauling and safety. The assorted tech features put the Ram at the top of the must-have list, making it an ideal choice for checking out the beauty of Wolsing Trails & Wetland or stopping by the Farmer’s Market for some produce. Either way you drive it, the Ram 1500 has what you need to get you there safely and capably.

One of the Ram’s stand-out features is its five drive modes that cater to every driving scenario imaginable. Drivers get to choose from Normal, Tow, Snow, Sport and Off-Road drive modes, each one specially designed to optimize that specific activity or goal. Tow is an important mode for any truck driver who plans on getting the most out of their Ram through towing recreational equipment or work equipment.

Smart programs like the Trailer Auto Hitch Assist are changing the game, showing why the Ram is ahead of its class. Gone are the days of painstakingly aligning your vehicle trailer when hitching. The available Trailer Auto Hitch Assist found with the 2025 Ram 1500 will make even a novice into a professional. This smart system utilizes advanced technology to guide the vehicle into alignment with the trailer automatically. No more guesswork or trial and error—simply activate the system and let the Ram 1500 do the rest.

Other programs consider that when towing a trailer, visibility is key. Maneuvering through tight spaces, parking in crowded lots, and navigating busy highways all require a clear view of your surroundings, whether it is Memorial Park or the beautiful night sky of Independence. This is where the Telescopic Trailer Tow Mirrors come in handy, providing drivers with unmatched visibility and flexibility for their towing needs. While the Silverado is well-equipped and can handle itself when towing, the Ram’s unique and specialized programs tip the scales in its favor.
