Ready to get to know the 2024 Ram 2500? Here’s an overview of its distinct trim options.
The Tradesman: Your Basic Workhorse
So you need that basic workhorse that can handle demanding tasks around a construction site or on a farm. You want durability, good payloads, great towing abilities, and a long-lasting frame. The Tradesman is for you.
With the ability to tow up to 15,620 lbs, the Tradesman can easily tow all sorts of equipment across a work site so you can get those tough jobs done. The powerful HEMI V8 engine roaring beneath the hood is what gives the Tradesmen all of its muscle. With this trim, you can opt for a 6.7L diesel engine as well. It will keep up with your demanding tasks, even when towing or trailering uphill. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, the Tradesman gives you the freedom to take small steps when trailering and in different environments to perfectly balance power and precision when needed.
The Tradesman is your go-to trim if you just need a great work truck without the bells and whistles.
The Big Horn: Powerful and Stylish
Looking for some striking style details and added interior perks that will boost comfort and convenience? Check out the Big Horn. As far as utility goes, it just about mirrors the Tradesman. However, get to know this trim, and you’ll see that it appeals to those who need to be genuinely impressed by their truck.
On the front, you can’t help but notice a gorgeous chrome grille outline with those massive RAM letters. Move inside, and this trim really shines. Here, you’ll find standard cloth bench seats that are super comfortable. You also find tons of headrests and seat adjustability for the driver and front seat passenger, making those long drives to work sites or campsites more bearable. There are even available bucket seats in this trim for extra comfort.
While six speakers come standard here (a step up from the four of the Tradesman), you can also upgrade to the available nine-speaker system for surround sound enjoyment of your tunes and podcasts. You’ll also notice thoughtful storage bins throughout the cabin, great for those essentials like magazines and snacks. Active noise control comes standard in this trim, too.

The Laramie: Your Affordable Luxury
Many people love the Laramie because it’s basically a luxury trim without a luxury price tag. It gets leather-trimmed seats with suede inserts for a classic but elevated interior look. On the outside, you get great touches like fully filled-in chrome grill lines and forward and reverse utility lights that are convenient and stylish.
Also, you get LED headlamp control and taillamps in the lights department in this trim. The chrome accents keep going, with chrome heated exterior mirrors. These mirrors boast a memory function that can melt away vision-obscuring ice and recall your preferred settings. Clearly, the Laramie strikes that perfect balance of work and play for our luxury light seekers.
The Rebel: For Off-Road Enthusiasts
Naturally, Ram had to offer an off-road-ready trim of the Ram 2500. We really wouldn’t be making the most of this beauty’s powers without one, right? Drivers want to be able to put those towing powers to use by dragging a boat or ATV out to a remote destination and enjoying a little time off the grid.
The Rebel is ready to go where you want to go, with a limited-slip differential with an electronic lock, a unique Rebel suspension made for rough environments, and tow hooks so a buddy can help pull you out of a tricky situation (though we hope you never find yourself in one). This trim can also tow a maximum of 14,670 lbs when it is properly equipped.
Also, true to its off-road nature, this trim has optional heavy-duty engine cooling when you put that HEMI to the test. It has skid plates over the transfer case and fuel tank to protect these important elements.
The Power Wagon: Beefy and Beautiful
The Power Wagon is an interesting trim because some people feel it offers much of what the Rebel does. However, it appeals to a unique driver: the off-road enthusiast who loves luxury. The Power Wagon has a factory suspension lift to hit rough roads, Bilstein Gas-Charged monotube shocks, and a rear-locking differential. It adds even more in style and convenience, though.
Look inside, and you’ll see stunning stitching and paneling throughout the cabin. You’ll also notice storage pockets galore. You can also tow up to 14,760 lbs with this trim. Okay, we’ll admit it: the Power Wagon is for those who love off-roading, beauty, and having a good time. In fact, it’s sort of a camper’s dream.
On the design front, you’ll like the cool-looking blacked-out tires and the sheer amount of color options.
The Limited Longhorn: Southern Charm at Its Toughest
The Limited Longhorn is simply a fun and quirky trim. It boasts a charming Southwestern style with 100 percent leather seating and actual barn wood accents. It hangs with the toughest trims as far as capabilities, but if you love Southwestern flare, this is the trim for you. This trim also features the highest towing capacity for the Ram 2500, an impressive 17,300 lbs.
You can get an available two-tone paint job and two-tone wheels on the outside. You can also opt for an available flat chrome wheel-to-wheel side step, giving passengers a VIP experience, or deployable running boards. The Longhorn has a personality as big as its capabilities.

The Limited: Luxury at Its Finest
Finally, we arrived at the Limited. This is the true luxury trim. The Laramie might have been the “light” luxury trim, but the Limited dives into the deep end.
You will get a standard nine-speaker Alpine sound system here with a subwoofer. If you require the best audio experience, get the Limited. You also get luxury front and rear floor mats and a luxury door trim panel. Look ahead, and you’ll notice an instrument panel with beautiful bezels and natural wood accents. There’s a wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel for good measure. Every inch of the cabin is designed to be practical and beautiful.
Convenience doesn’t quite describe the other features in this trim. It’s more like the VIP experience. You get a standard universal garage door opener for quickly getting in and out of your garage. You also get a digital rearview mirror with side camera integration to see what’s happening around your vehicle seamlessly. Plus, trailer reverse steering control lets you control the vessel you’re towing from your driver’s seat.
