7 Cool Things About 2021 Jeep Wranglers
View New Jeep Wranglers
Searching for a fun new vehicle? While you busily look for new cars in stock near you, we suggest you take a moment to consider what new car is right for you. If you are looking for excitement, power, and fun, a Jeep Wrangler may be just what you need and we carry them at Dan Cummins of Georgetown. With so many cool features to explore and the capability to go anywhere, the Jeep Wrangler is a perfect SUV for adventurous folks who want to see the world without windows (and doors) to block the view. Here are a few features to love about the iconic Jeep Wrangler.
#1. Fold-Down Windshield
No other vehicle in 2021 offers a foldable windshield besides the Jeep Wrangler. While some may scoff at this feature, there are Jeep lovers who really enjoy the feel of driving in the fully open air, especially when crawling at slow speeds. Having nothing between you and the outside world is a great feeling, so Jeep makes it relatively easy to fold down the windshield to fully experience the great outdoors. Jeep provides a tool set for removing the bolts located at the top of the windshield, four in total. Once removed, a handy storage space in the rear cargo floor has slots where the bolts easily rest so you can keep them safe. Fold down the windshield and hit the trail. It’s simpler than ever!
#2. Removable Doors
A few other vehicles offer removable doors in 2021, like the Ford Bronco and the new Hummer EV, but Jeep has been the ultimate customizable vehicle for decades. It takes just a few minutes to remove the doors using the tool set provided, and you can pop the bolts and pins you remove with the doors into the storage space in the cargo tray, just like for the windshield. Jeep makes it simple to remove the doors by having access to the bolts on the exterior, a purposeful choice other vehicles don’t have. Once the doors are off, you get that true Jeep feel of being totally open to the world around you while you drive on trails. As an aside, Jeep also offers the option of half doors to allow for partial protection from splashing mud or water if you know you’re driving through wet areas but still want a more open experience.

#3. Five Options for Removable Tops
While we’re discussing removable parts, it makes sense to point out the many roof options Jeep Wranglers have available. Of course, each of the roof styles open or remove so the entire top portion of the Jeep, including the windshield, can allow for great unimpeded views of the places you explore. The standard option is the soft top, and there are two types: the standard and the premium, called the Sunrider soft top. This type of top is one of the easiest to remove using the snaps and zippers to just fold down the softcover that readily stores in the back of the Jeep. For Jeep drivers who live in colder climates, the Freedom Top hardtop offers better protection from the elements year-round, and it’s more secure. It takes two people to remove the top, but it does allow for fully open Jeep driving. If you are using your Jeep alone and want the security of the hardtop but don’t want the capability of taking it off, the Sky One-Touch top is a good answer. It’s powered to open on its own, though it doesn’t allow for a completely open experience because the back window remains in place. Finally, the dual top allows the best of the bunch with the soft top for warm months and the hardtop for cold months.
#4. Easter Eggs
Every Jeep owner should know about the tradition of Easter eggs. This phenomenon isn’t original to the brand but was started by a designer who was given the task of reworking the Wrangler in the mid-1990s, named Michael Santoro. He took the redesign seriously, wanting to hold true to what the Jeep meant to its owners and to the meaningful cultural history it held. When he finished the design, he chose to add a little character to the vents in the cowl so they would have the seven-slot grille, which is now an iconic look for Jeeps. That was the first “Easter egg,” and the tradition continued with adding hidden icons of maps, Willys Jeeps, or animals. The occasional morse code as a nod to the military. More abstract translations of past Jeep uses are also included, like the X in the tail lights of the Renegade that reference gas cans strapped to the backs of Jeeps.
#5. Plug-in Hybrid Creeping Power
Silent and stealthy, the plug-in hybrid has the capability to run on its electric motor while you explore the countryside. Without the noise of the gas engine, your Wrangler 4XE can creep through the wilderness quietly enough to allow you to get closer to animal life so you can capture photos or just enjoy the sight of seeing animals being themselves. With the hybrid system, you have 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque to allow you to go anywhere, and you have an available 370 miles of driving range, so you don’t have to worry about cutting your trips short. Pay less for fuel, and gain more freedom.

#6. Audio That Keeps Up With the Outdoors
For some Jeep lovers, music is part of the off-road experience to make it more exciting and intense. An available Alpine sound system has an overhead soundbar so you can still hear tunes with the top off, the subwoofer doesn’t care about getting wet or cold, and the speakers that surround the vehicle—nine in total—make the sound quality better than ever. Enjoy streaming your own music from your smartphone, or use the available radio systems in the infotainment system to enjoy premium quality audio anywhere you go.
#7. Available Jeep utility grid
If you know what a MOLLE storage system is, then this will make you happy. If you never heard of MOLLE before, but you like to be organized, you will love the utility grid. MOLLE is an acronym for modular lightweight load-carrying equipment, and it is a way to organize items you want to hang up so you can get to them easily while they remain secure in a pouch or holster, like a flashlight or pocket knife. A system of straps is attached to the backs of the two front seats, woven in a grid pattern much like the lattice on top of a pie. The grid allows for carabiners, hooks, or other types of attachments to be hung, but you can also hang small items to dry (like socks or gloves). Whether you use attachments designed specifically for the MOLLE system or hang your own items from it, the grid is great for organization junkies.
Time to Find Your Jeep
Each of these Jeep Wrangler features add up to an SUV with more personality than most vehicles on the road today. When you account for the history and culture you get to be part of when you own a Wrangler, it gives you instant access to a whole new group of friends who will be great company for trail riding and learning about Jeep culture. Trail riding clubs across the globe meet for regular off-road fun, and you’ll find people from every age and interest are attracted to the adventure of Jeep life. If you haven’t ridden in a Jeep, you’re missing out on one of the better things about the modern world. Get out there and explore what a Wrangler has to offer!

View All Used Vehicles
Are you looking for a new car but aren’t sure where to start your search or how to find the best sedan for your driving and budget needs? It’s time to call in the professionals. As your Lexington used car lot, the team here at Dan Cummins Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is ready to help you find a great used sedan.
The first part of finding a great sedan is knowing what to look for on the lot. With the used vehicle market seeing around 39.3 million sales in 2020 alone, it’s safe to say that you have plenty of options. But sometimes, having too many options can be overwhelming. We’re here to save you time and money by sharing 5 of the top-selling used sedans in the industry. From models like the affordable Hyundai Elantra to the best-selling Honda Accord, you’ll find a sedan that’s perfect for you right here on the list; we guarantee it!
#1 – Hyundai Elantra
Since its founding in 1967, Hyundai has consistently delivered reliable vehicles with advanced technology while simultaneously modernizing and mobilizing its native South Korea. In America, Hyundai’s innovation is apparent in its best-selling model, the Elantra, which was introduced in 1990. Over the last three decades, the Elantra has transformed from an ugly duckling into an elegant swan, which is what makes this sedan one of the best deals you’ll find on the used lot.
The Elantra’s sophistication is truly apparent when you shop for models from the sixth generation, which runs from 2015 to 2020. Keep an eye out for a 2019 or 2020 Elantra since these models boast many of the same connectivity, safety, and driver-assist tools as the new seventh-generation Elantra. Hyundai also added the Sport trim to the Elantra lineup in 2017, which is great if you’re looking for more horsepower and a more performance-focused experience behind the wheel.
#2 – Nissan Altima
Spacious, efficient, and safe are three words that aptly describe the Nissan Altima and are part of what makes the sedan a top seller on both new and used lots. Introduced in the early 1990s, the Altima’s evolution has been impressive, with its first-generation model offering head-up display technology that was rarely seen in sedans at the time. The second generation introduced side airbags, while the third generation truly put the Altima on the map when it was named the 2002 North American Car of the Year.
The sixth-generation Altima was introduced in 2019 and is a great buy since it’s the first Altima to offer intelligent all-wheel-drive, which boosts its capability and handling on a variety of terrain and in various weather conditions like snow, sleet, and rain. If you want to save even more on the sticker price, check out a newer, fifth-generation (2013-2018) model. The 2018 Altima added connectivity tools like standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration while building on the sedan’s best-selling features like the exclusive Zero Gravity seats that put you in the perfect seating position when you’re in the driver’s seat.

#3 – Honda Accord
Following the widespread success of the Civic, Honda set out to reshape the segment with a larger sedan designed with families in mind. The Accord made its debut in 1977 as a two-door hatchback powered by a 1.6-liter engine that delivered just 68 horsepower. Despite its modest power, the Accord was quick to respond, insanely efficient, and reasonably spacious. This combination earned it high praise across the board and ignited the evolution of the Accord over the next ten generations (and counting).
Honda unveiled the tenth-generation Accord in 2018, which makes this model a great option if you’re looking for a newer sedan with all the latest technology and safety features. When shopping for the 2018 Accord, keep in mind that the sedan comes with either a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that produces 192 horsepower or a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that boosts the Accord’s power to 252 ponies. For drivers looking for a more eco-friendly option that’s also affordable, look for a used Accord Hybrid, which was first introduced in 2018.
#4 – Toyota Camry
With a name derived from the Japanese word for crown, the Toyota Camry undeniably wears a crown in the automotive industry after outselling every other midsize sedan in America since 2002. By the 1970s, Toyota was the top-selling import brand in America and set out to take its reputation to the next level with the debut of the Camry in 1983. The all-new, front-wheel-drive, four-door sedan marked Toyota’s debut into the segment of midsize cars and positioned the Camry at the starting line of a fierce race against rivals like the Honda Accord.
One of the many great things about the Camry is that it’s built to last, which means these used sedans still have plenty of life left in them. Since Toyota redesigned the Camry for its eighth-generation debut in 2018, we recommend keeping an eye out for models built since then. These Camrys also offer a wide array of standard safety and connectivity tools like Apple CarPlay that allow you to stay connected without taking your focus from the road.

#5 – Chevrolet Malibu
As one of the longest-running nameplates in the Chevy lineup, the Malibu is a fitting way to wrap up our list. The Malibu was first introduced in 1964 as a top-tier trim for the Chevy Chevelle before it became a model in its own right in the 1970s. This prompted its entry into the NASCAR circuit, where it graced the winner’s circle 25 times between 1973 and 1977. By the early 1980s, the Malibu evolved into a smaller sedan, and declining sales led to a 14-year hiatus until the Malibu’s return in the late 1990s. Since then, the Malibu has continuously evolved to meet the demands of drivers looking to get behind the wheel of Chevy’s iconic sedan.
With such an extensive history in America, there are plenty of Malibus to choose from on the used lot, and that means you’ll have to narrow down your search even further. If you’re looking for the latest features and technology but don’t want to pay the sticker price for a new Malibu, look for a 2019 model. Chevy refreshed the Malibu in 2019 and added the sporty RS trim to the lineup. You’ll also find the 2019 Malibu is equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Chevy’s exclusive Teen Driver technology, which makes it a great option for families with young drivers as well.
What’s Your Pick?
Did you know that buying a used vehicle is one of the wisest financial decisions you can make? New cars start depreciating (losing their value) the moment you drive them off the lot. When you buy an older model, you’re avoiding this initial depreciation and keeping more money in your wallet. You’ll also find that you can likely afford a better-equipped sedan off the used lot than paying that new-car price.
These benefits are just the gateway to everything that buying a used sedan has to offer. Yes, there are even more perks to shopping for a pre-owned model! Now that you know five of the best used sedans in the industry and what to look for on the lot, it’s time to start shopping. Pay us a visit, take a few test drives, and find the best used sedan for your needs and budget.

View Used RAM 1500
As your used Ram truck dealership in Lexington, we get a lot of customers who are looking for a truck that’s easy to maneuver, incredibly capable, and offers plenty of features. Models like the Ram 1500 make our job easier because the truck is truly exceptional and, to be honest, it sells itself. The Ram 1500 is loaded with technology, offers exceptional capability, and because of its size, it’s easy to maneuver whether you’re navigating a busy city street or cruising down the highway. It really is a truck that can do it all.
With used trucks in higher demand as more and more drivers are looking for ways to make their money go further, we’re seeing a lot of 2020 Ram 1500s and 2019 Ram 1500s driving off the lot. That’s led to even more questions about the key differences between the model year and which one is better. To be honest, there’s no clear winner since the Ram 1500 saw only a few minor updates to the 2020 model. Here’s a closer look at those differences to help you select the best Ram 1500 for your driving needs.
Let’s Talk Power
The Ram 1500’s power reached a new level in 2019 with the debut of the eTorque mild hybrid system. Designed to maximize the engine’s efficiency and performance, the system uses a 48-volt battery pack to engage the automatic stop-start technology and to optimize energy regeneration from the brakes. In turn, the system adds even more power and torque to the Ram’s 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and the 5.7-liter HEMI V8, both of which are available on the 2020 model.
The 3.6-liter eTorque Pentastar V6 engine delivers 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque on both the 2019 and 2020 models. The 5.7-liter eTorque HEMI V8 with variable valve-timing boosts this to 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. For 2020, Ram added a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine to the lineup, which pushes the Ram 1500’s power and performance even higher to offer 480 lb-ft of torque and a best-in-class towing capacity of 12,560 pounds.
What’s the verdict? Since both the 2019 and 2020 Ram 1500s offer similar power and efficiency thanks to the eTorque system, it’s hard to pick a clear winner. Instead, you’ll have to ask yourself if having a diesel option is a dealbreaker. If so, then there’s no question that the 2020 Ram 1500 is the better bet.

Let’s Talk Design
Ram redesigned the Ram 1500 in 2019, and we see those design elements continued in the 2020 lineup. On the 2019 model, Ram upgraded the grille and badging in addition to adding an LED adaptive front-lighting system. These features continue to give the 2020 Ram 1500 a bold exterior, and its six trim options offer a progressive suite of features to match a variety of budget and driving needs.
For 2020, Ram adds to the 1500’s bold design with a few new upgrades like the graphic updates to the Rebel’s exterior as well as three new available exterior colors – RV Match Walnut Brown, Olive Green, and Hydro Blue. You’ll also find the all-new Night Edition available on the Big Horn and Laramie, which includes a monochromatic blacked-out design. This aggressive design features black badging and exterior accents as well as new 20-inch or 22-inch black wheels. If you’re looking at the Rebel, you can achieve a similar stealthy appearance with the Black Appearance Group that adds black wheels, an all-black interior, and a black skid plate.
What’s the verdict? You can’t go wrong with either the 2019 or the 2020 Ram 1500, especially since Ram completely redesigned the truck for 2019. If you’re looking for more aesthetic options, then you’ll want to keep your eye out for a 2020 model, especially the Big Horn Night Edition or the Laramie Night Edition, both of which offer a unique monochromatic design.
Let’s Talk Tech
Ram unleashed every innovative tool in its wheelhouse when it debuted the all-new Ram 1500 in 2019. The redesigned Ram boasts a standard 8.4-inch touchscreen display that can be upgraded to a 12-inch high-definition touchscreen with split-view functionality. You won’t find a display this size on any other used truck on the market!
Aside from its oversized display, the Ram 1500’s state-of-the-art technology includes the award-winning Uconnect system that allows you to sync your smartphone using Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You’ll also have access to SiriusXM with 360LM, SiriusXM Guardian Connected Services, and an available 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. These features make it easy to stay connected to your life and stay focused on the road ahead.
What’s the verdict? Both the 2019 and 2020 Ram 1500 trucks offer the same innovative technology that allows you to keep your focus on the road without missing a beat. Since the connectivity features are the same, you can easily choose from either year model and enjoy all the perks that Ram and its Uconnect infotainment system have to offer.

Let’s Talk Safety
Along with Ram’s complete redesign of the Ram 1500 in 2019, the automaker also added over 100 safety and security features to the truck. These features enhance your visibility and minimize the potential for collisions to give you more confidence and peace of mind when you’re behind the wheel. For example, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop, Go, and Hold eliminates the need to constantly reset the cruise control since the system automatically adjusts your speed to mirror the flow of traffic.
The Forward Collision Warning-Plus warns you of a potential collision and can deploy the brakes to bring the truck to a stop. The LaneSense Lane Departure Warning-Plus is another enhanced feature and alerts you when the truck is veering out of its designated lane. This can help you take corrective action before you run off the road. Other features include Ready Alert Braking, Trailer-Sway Damping Control, Hill-Start Assist, and ParkSense Parallel/Perpendicular Park Assist.
What’s the verdict? Once again, you’ll find the same safety features available on both the 2019 and the 2020 Ram 1500s. This means that you can confidently choose from either lineup and know that you’ll have all the tools you need to keep you and your passengers safe on the road.
Which Is Better?
The Ram 1500 is one of the best-selling trucks in America, and for good reason. It offers exceptional capability and smooth handling, as well as a spacious interior that’s loaded with comforts and features. You can’t go wrong with an affordably-priced used Ram 1500 because it’s a great all-around workhorse that can easily get the job done without breaking a sweat.
Which is better – the 2019 Ram 1500 or the 2020 Ram 1500? The choice is a tough one to make. Ram completely redesigned the Ram 1500 in 2019, and that means you can’t go wrong with either year model, especially when you consider that they both offer the same, if not similar, technology and safety features. However, if you’re looking for more capability and hauling power, then you’ll certainly want to look closer at the 2020 model since Ram added a diesel engine to the truck’s powertrain lineup.

2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat
View Dodge Charger
The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is the fastest and most powerful production sedan on the market. Super fast, supercharged, and ready for the racetrack, the Hellcat is equipped with a 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine to deliver 717 horsepower and 656 lb-ft of torque. But just when you thought this power was impressive, Dodge ups the ante with the all-new Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye that delivers jaw-dropping power and a top speed of 203 mph.
The Hellcat Redeye adds more torque and power to the sedan to deliver 797 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque. This increase comes from a few improvements made to the sedan, starting with its aerodynamics and the addition of a dual-stage fuel pump that accommodates the Redeye’s greater demand for fuel. With the sedan also boasting a widebody design that increases its stability and gives you better control from behind the wheel, it’s easy to see why the Charger SRT Hellcat and the Hellcat Redeye are two of the best muscle cars on the road today.

2021 Chrysler 300
View Chrysler 300
Combining luxury and sophistication with performance, the 2021 Chrysler 300 is the complete package. You can push the sedan’s limits with confidence thanks to Chrysler’s exclusive all-wheel-drive with a front-axle disconnect system that helps you maintain control even when you lose traction by engaging at any speed and in any condition. Of course, pushing the Chrysler 300 to its limits is even more fun when you’re using Sport Mode, which finetunes the transmission’s shift points, steering, and the response of the accelerator pedal to give you the best performance possible.

The Selectable Tire Fill Control takes the guesswork out of inflating and airing down the tires by alerting you at the recommended tire pressure. You’ll also find steel skid plates to protect the undercarriage from damage, as well as an Off Road+ button that optimizes traction and the performance of the throttle and transmission to deliver an ultimate off-road adventure.

2022 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer
After Jeep turned heads with the debut of its Wagoneer sub-brand, we’d be remiss if we didn’t include the Wagoneer and the Grand Wagoneer on our list. Whether you have a need for speed or adventure, one thing is certain – you’ll find all that and more when you shop for a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram.

Shopping for a used truck probably feels like a blessing and a curse for some shoppers. Why? Because the good part is that there are tons of great trucks out there and a lot of quality options you can choose from. In fact, you’ll find plenty of amazing used trucks for sale in Georgetown, KY at Dan Cummins CDJR because there’s no shortage of quality pickups on the market. However, the downside is that there are so many trucks out there that shoppers often don’t know which one they should go with and why. But don’t worry. That’s why there are guides like this that help answer some of the tough questions when it comes to truck shopping, such as whether you should buy a used 2018 Silverado 1500 or a used 2020 Silverado 1500?
What the 2018 Silverado 1500 Features
Before you commit to buying any vehicle, you should probably be made well aware of what it features. The 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 was the last model year of the third generation for the Silverado. So it comes with all of the upgrades, fixes, modifications, and alterations throughout the third generation. This makes the 2018 Silverado quite fetching for those who want a model year of the light-duty pickup that’s not only feature-rich but contains a lot of the incremental changes introduced from the 2014 redesign up until 2018.
The 2018 Silverado 1500 comes with an assortment of standard infotainment features, such as a 7-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth support, a tire fill and pressure monitoring system, and a backup camera. The 2018 Silverado features three different powertrains, including a 4.3-liter V6, a 5.3-liter V8, and a 6.2-liter V8. All the powertrain options feature variable valve timing with direct injection and active fuel management. These features make for great fuel economy, with the 2018 Silverado 1500 topping out at 18 miles per gallon in the city and 24 miles per gallon on the highway.
What the 2020 Silverado 1500 Features
The 2020 Silverado 1500 is the second model year of the fourth generation, following the redesign for the 2019 model year. There have been some modifications to the powertrain line-up, along with a distinctly different look to the Silverado for its fourth-generation run. This model year iteration of the half-ton pickup sports softer curves, more relaxed lines, and a completely different front fascia from its 2018 counterpart.
In addition to the 4.3-liter, 5.3-liter, and 6.2-liter powertrain options, an additional 2.7-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder, and 3.0-liter V6 turbo-diesel were made available. These new options provide a great blend of performance and efficiency. On the technology front, adaptive cruise control was made available for the 2020 Silverado 1500, along with the addition of some driver-assist features and trailering technologies.

Why You Should Buy the 2018 Silverado 1500
When deciding which truck to buy between a used 2018 Silverado 1500 and a used 2020 Silverado 1500, one of the big deciding factors is going to be price. Hands-down, a 2018 Silverado 1500 is going to be far cheaper than a comparable 2020 Silverado 1500. So if the price is a major factor for you when purchasing a used Silverado, then the 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 would be a better choice.
In addition to the price you also have to consider the availability. There are going to be a lot more models available for the 2018 Silverado over the 2020 Silverado simply because it’s been on the market longer. It’s something to consider, especially when looking for specific trim formats with specific features. If you also enjoy the more workman-like design of the third-generation Silverado, then you might be more inclined to veer toward purchasing the 2018 Silverado 1500.
Why You Should Buy the 2020 Silverado 1500
Maybe you have a slightly higher budget to work with and are willing to spend a little extra on a newer used vehicle. In this case, the 2020 Silverado 1500 would be your go-to solution for a light-duty pickup. The extra features, such as trailering technology and optional powertrains, might be exactly what you’re looking for, especially if you want a pickup with a diesel option. There’s also the form factor to consider.
For those who like the new fourth-generation redesign of the Silverado, the 2020 model year of the popular 1500 probably makes it an easy pick. The more relaxed exterior aesthetics and added technologies in the driver-assist department are great for those who would like to have the option for features such as lane departure warning or collision mitigation. Additionally, the 2020 Silverado comes with the optional 10-speed automatic transmission for trims that are paired with the 5.3-liter V8, the 6.2-liter V8, and the 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel. So if you wanted those powertrain features, a used 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 would be worth the price of admission.
2018 Silverado Style vs 2020 Silverado Style
A lot of the differences between the 2018 and 2020 Silverado boil down to what sort of features you value and what sort of style you enjoy from your half-ton pickup trucks. Some people prefer the 2020 look of the Silverado because they have a preference for the more naturally rounded edges across the exterior body, including the subtle arch of the wheel wells and the curvature of the cab’s A and B-pillars. Then again, some truck enthusiasts and shoppers have opposite feelings about the redesign.
There are some people who prefer the more pronounced edges of the third-generation Silverado, where the cab has sharper corners and more aggressive edges. This gave versions like the 2018 model year of the Silverado 1500 a very bold and masculine look that separated it from the competition. The rectangular wheel wells that connected into the front fascia and the more traditional grille design might appeal to those who want a pickup that looks like the more recognizable Chevy truck design of old.
Alternatively, the fourth-generation redesign takes a bold approach to the design of the Silverado. It’s more than just stylized curves, less pronounced fenders, and smoother edges. The front fascia has a steeper, more technically complex design. The grille isn’t just about looks, though; it’s also about aerodynamics to help with performance. So there’s actually some functionality to the style redesign. But it’s all subjective based on what you as a shopper find appealing from the 2018 Silverado vs the 2020 Silverado.

2018 Silverado vs 2020 Silverado: Towing
One of the most important aspects of a light-duty pickup is its towing capabilities. If you’re stuck choosing between a used 2018 Silverado 1500 or a used 2020 Silverado 1500, you can’t go wrong with either truck on the towing, payload, and trailering front. The 2018 and 2020 Silverado 1500 both share the same max payload capacities at 2,250 pounds. When it comes to towing and trailering, the max rating for the 2018 Silverado 1500 clocks in at 12,500 pounds, while the 2020 Silverado 1500 maxes out at 13,400 pounds. Both are more than capable of getting the job done when properly configured. You also don’t lose anything in the payload department with either truck.
Are You Ready To Choose Your Used Silverado?
Ultimately the choice boils down to which truck has the style you prefer and which one fits within your budget. Both are great trucks depending on what you’re looking for and what you like out of a light-duty pickup. Thankfully, Dan Cummins has many used trucks for sale and you can trust we will help you find the right kind of Silverado for you, whether it be a 2018 model year or a 2020 model year.

View Used Jeep Cherokees
Between its rugged appeal and its legendary off-road prowess, the Jeep Cherokee is a highly sought-after vehicle for many drivers. Among its many benefits is its ability to effortlessly take you wherever you need to go with a sense of adventure paired with the utmost respect for your comfort and security, making it a trusted vehicle over the years. At Dan Cummins of Georgetown, we’re your top Lexington pre-owned Jeep dealer, and if a used Jeep Cherokee is on your mind, then let us help you find the best model to satisfy your needs. There may be a lot of Cherokee models available, seeing as the first of its kind rolled off the assembly line in the mid-1970s, and if you’re not well-versed in Jeep heritage, you may not know which Cherokee is right for your travels. Let’s go on an adventure as we discover all the details about the Jeep Cherokee and just what you should be looking for in your search.
Why Buy a Used Jeep Cherokee?
This crossover SUV has evolved throughout the years to not only become a trusted commuter but an ideal family car and fearless exploration machine, making it a versatile vehicle to have in your driveway. What many drivers look for in the Cherokee is its ability to take them to new places. Features like all-wheel drive, terrain management systems, unwavering maneuverability, and increased ground clearance help make the Cherokee a staple on the trails and on any roadway in the country. So, why buy a used Jeep Cherokee over a new model? After all, won’t you be able to take advantage of all the latest offerings from this famous brand only when you buy new?
The huge advantage of buying a used Jeep Cherokee, and many used vehicles for that matter, is your ability to enjoy enhanced features in a car that you may not have been able to afford if you were to buy brand new. For example, maybe you’re looking for the top-of-the-line Jeep Cherokee that offers more features for off-roading adventure and all the bells and whistles when it comes to a luxury interior. A car like that is out of many buyers’ budgets; however, if you were to look at the same vehicle, only a couple of years older, you may be able to get all you’re wanting and more. When you buy a used Cherokee, you’re able to get a vehicle that’s packed with all the luxurious features you want without the cumbersome sticker price.
Being able to get the Jeep you’ve always wanted is huge in the eyes of buyers everywhere. And by searching the used lot of your Lexington pre-owned Jeep dealers, like Dan Cummins of Georgetown, you’ll be able to find a bigger selection of options than if you were to limit yourself with new models alone. Not only do you have a larger selection of advanced vehicles to offer you all the off-roading excitement you could ever wish for, you’ll be satisfied that you didn’t overpay for your vehicle. In addition to the larger selection, finding a Jeep Cherokee a few years old may also qualify for you to take advantage of warranty programs, adding even more incentives to buying used.

The Best Jeep Cherokee to Buy
Knowing that the Jeep Cherokee has been around for decades, you may also know that there can be a vast selection on any dealership’s lot. So, which Jeep Cherokee is the best and which years should you try and avoid? We always recommend sticking to relatively newer model years, as you’re able to enjoy more modern features, like updated tech and safety offerings, as well as the most advanced off-road capabilities for a better ride. Even Cherokees that are only a couple of years old feature some of the same tech features you can find in brand new models for a fraction of the price, which is why many buyers stick with newer pre-owned options.
One of the best-known model years for the Jeep Cherokee is the 2018 model. Armed with revolutionary new tech, as well as capabilities you can only expect to find in a Jeep, the 2018 Cherokee has been a crowd-pleaser since it made its debut. Multiple engines are offered, including an efficient diesel engine, and with various ways to heighten your experience in its roomy cabin, there’s a Cherokee to appeal to any buyer. An innovative tech experience, one of the best in the industry, in addition to an available Alpine premium audio system and multiple appearance packages available, make this model one of the best around. If you’re looking for a newer Jeep Cherokee, 2018 and newer will be at the top of your list.
Although it would be awesome to own a Jeep from its first couple generations, it’s important to bear in mind that you will be compromising when it comes to comfort and convenience. Not only will you not be able to enjoy the most luxurious contemporary features, but you’ll also want to bid adieu to fancy infotainment systems and other tech. But if you’re looking to own a slice of Jeep history, one of these models will certainly add to your collection.
Pre-Owned vs Certified Pre-Owned Jeep Cherokee

You have options when it comes to shopping for your next vehicle, and if you’re looking at used models, you may be surprised at all the decisions you’ll need to make. Once you’ve decided that a used Jeep Cherokee is the best fit for you, you’ll want to explore pre-owned versus certified pre-owned (CPO) status. When a vehicle is a certified pre-owned model, it has met some extra requirements that standard used vehicles have not, and these standards will vary from brand to brand. Typically, the models considered for CPO programs across the board are newer models that have low mileage and have clean vehicle history reports. Now although these vehicles may appear to be the better options, that’s not always the case.
Pre-owned vehicles can be just as solid as CPO vehicles without the hefty price tag. You see, once a used vehicle has gained CPO status, prices may go up, leading many used car shoppers to overpay for their next vehicle. We advise you to work with a trusted dealership to ensure that you’re getting the most dependable vehicle at a price that’s fair and within your budget.

The Top 5 Unexpected Features of the Ram TRX Pickup

View RAM TRX
The Ram TRX is one of the most talked-about trucks in the business. Ask any Ram TRX dealer in Kentucky (like our own Dan Cummins of Georgetown), and they’d tell you: even shoppers who wouldn’t seem interested in a pickup are lining up to test drive this exciting, adventurous truck. Perhaps it’s because the Ram TRX isn’t just for towing; it can do more than that. Just look at the 2021 edition’s speed ratings! The Ram TRX is lighting-fast, with an engine that shoots out up to 702 horsepower, with 0 to 60 acceleration of 4.5 seconds, and top speeds around 110 miles per hour!
One look at the 2021 Ram TRX and it’s easy to see why it’s so appealing. Its aggressive bodywork is defined by prominent grilles, a rigid and boxy frame, and its sheer size. Lifted and elongated, this pickup is not to be underestimated. Rather, it should be enjoyed to its full potential.
Ram has a vast family of pickup trucks, including the world-famous Ram 1500 and heavy-duty trucks that are designed to take on enormous trailering weight. However, the Ram TRX provides another level of thunderous power to the Ram family, without excluding other popular tech that makes Ram America’s go-to truck brand. Take a look at some of the surprising features of the new Ram TRX, including its surprising speed, incredible towing power, and the technology that makes this pickup suitable for any driver.
#1 Sporty Performance Driving
Who could have expected that a pickup truck is one of the most exciting performance vehicles of the year? The power originates in the Ram TRX’s 6.2-liter Hemi V8 engine, also known as the Hellcat engine. This incredible feat of engineering can output an incredibly 650 lb-ft of torque, and is paired with a smooth and responsive 8-speed automatic transmission. Its amazing rate of acceleration can deliver unbelievable speed test results, too. For example, Car and Driver timed the new Ram TRX in a quarter-mile speed test, showing that this pickup could complete the course in only 12.3 seconds.
It’s one of the quickest pickups ever, and there’s no mistaking its incredible power. Just take a Ram TRX for a test drive to feel how quickly the speedometer rises, with seemingly small effort. Listen to the engine growl and feel the perfectly weighted steering as you make precision turns. Well-engineered damping, 15.0-inch front brakes that dwarf others in comparison, off-road tires, and an electronic-locking rear differential combine to give you ultimate control even when you’re pushing the Ram TRX to its top speed.

#2 Off-Road Power
Believe it or not, the Ram TRX is a performance pickup ready to go off the beaten path as well. Rare are the vehicles that can deliver racey thrilling drives on smoothed-out, paved asphalt; even rarer are those that can tear through unpaved lands with ease. Rarer still is the Ram TRX’s ability to perform both on-road and off.
Despite its other strengths, the Ram TRX is billed as an “off-road pickup” after all and definitely has the capability to prove it. With 11.8 inches of ground clearance, 13 inches of front suspension travel, and 14 inches of rear suspension travel, the new TRX has enough leeway to manage rocky, uneven, or bumpy terrain with ease. Sophisticated Bilstein shocks help you stay comfortable and balanced while taking on the off-road, while multiple performance drive modes help you fine-tune the TRX’s components for any setting. For example, use Sport mode on paved streets to enhance shift times and enable a 30/70 torque split to accelerate faster; use Snow, Mud/Sand, Rock, or Baja (sand dunes) modes to adjust to these difficult off-road experiences. This is just the beginning of the new Ram TRX’s off-road capability. After all, it’s tailored top-to-bottom to take on any terrain with ease.
#3 Luxurious Interiors
The Ram TRX pickup offers a supremely luxurious interior that you’d hardly expect from its aggressive exterior. Rich-looking upholstery, refined trim details, and an overall cabin design that balances strength with beauty make the 2021 edition the best-equipped yet. Some of the most notable features include leather-wrapped seating in the TRX Level 1 and TRX Level 2 packages, as well as microsuede accents that add a touch of sheer elegance.
There’s impressive engineering that makes the 2021 Ram TRX’s cabin so luxurious, too. For example, the cabin is designed with noise-reducing technology, so it stays quiet and calm, no matter how clogged your streets may be or how wild the terrain you’re exploring may seem. Racing-inspired details also add to this truck’s street appeal, with features like paddle shifters around a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
Each edition also includes an ample, 12.0-inch infotainment system. This smart and responsive touchscreen system is your gateway to music, driver presets, built-in navigation software, and SiriusXM satellite radio. So while you may be splashing through muddy trails outdoors, the inside of the cabin helps you keep one foot in the comforts of civilization.
#4 Capable Towing
Just as any pickup would, the 2021 Ram TRX can also carry its fair share of weight. Sure, it’s not the most tow-hardy truck in the Ram family––there’s a whole set of HD trucks for commercial-grade towing––don’t shrug off what the TRX can do. How does 8,220 pounds of towing sound? That’s more than other competing off-road trucks. Add to that its 1,350-pound payload rating, and you have a pickup that can do it all.
Optimize your Ram TRX with optional towing/payload equipment, like extra tie-down hooks, a bed-step, and spray-in bed liner, to make the most of your TRX. In addition, you can soup up your TRX with incredibly tow safety tech, including a Surround-View camera system that displays crisp exterior views right onto your infotainment screen. Keep an eye on your truck bed and trailer so you can maneuver through tight spots and even ensure your trailer is in good shape while you travel.

#5 Plenty of Safety Technology
Who needs safety when you could have power, right? Just kidding! Not only is this a hardy, well-built truck that can endure some rough treatment, but it’s supplemented with active safety technology good enough for transporting your loved ones (and some precious cargo, too).
Adaptive cruise control adjusts in real-time to road conditions and maintains a safe, constant speed, while features like lane departure warning and blind-spot monitoring help prevent collisions. Other features, like ParkSense, can detect obstacles and help guide you as you maneuver into tight spaces (even when you’re towing). Drive with total peace of mind in a Ram TRX, whether you’re navigating city streets or blazing your own trail.

View Used RAM 1500
What are some of the best used trucks for sale in Lexington? The Ram 1500 series, of course. When you browse for a truck from a used car dealership in Lexington, like Dan Cummins of Georgetown, you will have the best and most diverse selection of used Ram 1500 trucks on the market. If you were shopping for a specific kind of Ram and you wanted to know what to expect from the used Ram 1500 series, then you need to check out our inventory to find a perfect full-size pickup for you.
But there’s more to truck shopping than knowing you want a truck. You also need to know about what the trucks feature. Not every Ram 1500 is the same, and some of them have different features and functions that you should be informed about before committing to a purchase. That’s where working with one of our sales team is a benefit for you because we can tell you all about the features of the models we have in stock. Let’s take a look at what you might find on some of these models.
Ram 1500 Tradesman
This is one of the most popular used trim variations available of the Ram 1500. So what makes the Tradesman so popular? Well, it’s partly in the name. The Tradesman represents the everyday working man and woman. It’s equipped to handle all the tasks and utilities one would expect from a pickup and then some.
This trim has been the standard trim for the current brand of the Ram 1500 series since the fourth generation. It’s designated as the workhorse of the Ram 1500’s trim line. This particular model was specifically designed to address some of the work-related functions contractors, construction, utility, and maintenance workers have to deal with on the job site. For instance, various models of the Tradesman come with a tri-fold tonneau cover, wheel-to-wheel side-steps, and high-back bucket seats for multiple passengers.
When you need a workhorse for work-related trucking, a used Ram 1500 Tradesman is one of the best used Rams money can buy. Affordable, reliable, and built to handle some of the toughest jobs out there. Depending on your line of work or if you need a dependable full-size pickup for towing and trailering, definitely consider getting a Ram 1500 Tradesman.

Ram 1500 Big Horn
Made popular during the Ram’s fourth generation on the market, the Ram 1500 Big Horn gives truck enthusiasts everything that the Tradesman offers but with a few features. The Big Horn has the added benefits of available luxury features and improved standard infotainment functionality. Where the Tradesman made its mark being a serious work truck for serious workers, the Big Horn opted to be the full-size personal truck with lots of interior space, plenty of amenities, and a lot of room to scale the luxury features.
The Big Horn represents that crossroad in trims where you can take the Ram 1500 into various directions. Whether you want a vehicle designed to conquer the roads as a towing/trailering monster or to afford passengers a great sense of comfort and luxury, the Big Horn fulfills various roles. There is a lot of versatility offered from the Big Horn trim throughout the years as the go-to model for customization and giving customers a lot of latitude in how they personalize the Ram 1500.
As a fourth-generation trim, the Ram 1500 Big Horn is an excellent option for those who want options. It’s perfectly positioned to give truck shoppers a lot of leeway when it comes to finding something affordable yet packed with features. This is the kind of used variation of the Ram that would certainly appeal to someone shopping for a truck to suit family needs, business needs, or someone who just wanted a great-looking truck for leisure driving with plenty of performance to spare.
Ram 1500 Express
The Ram 1500 Express is another popular trim with various model years being quickly snatched up by truck shoppers looking for more than just a work truck. If the Tradesman is built to get things done in a work environment, and the Big Horn is designed to provide comfortable riding, then the Express is the leisure option that fits somewhere between the two. It’s the perfect trim for those who want more features and amenities than what’s available from the Tradesman, but maybe you need less truck than what’s offered by the Big Horn.
Used model years from the fourth generation will net you a lot more available options than what you get with the Tradesman, which is quite limited when it comes to interior opulence. The highlight of the Express is that you have a very functional and dependable full-size pickup at your beck and call, with a few more infotainment and luxury features over the Tradesman. While visually, the Tradesman and Express are quite similar, there’s more of a relaxed, oftentimes casual tone to the available color schemes of the Express. This makes the truck look less like a work truck and more like a sports truck, especially with the body-color bumpers.
The Crew Cab availability of the Ram 1500 Express and the older model years retaining that classic crosshair grille for which the Ram has become renowned makes it a popular choice among some shoppers. Buying a used Ram 1500 Express means that you have access to more leisure features than the Tradesman trim, but at a much lower price point than the Big Horn. So if you wanted something close to the Big Horn but weren’t willing to spend for the extra features, the Express is the way to go.

Ram 1500 Laramie
Many of the luxury-oriented trims of the Ram 1500 are hard to come by used, but they are out there. A good example of that is the Ram 1500 Laramie, which has been one of the staple trims of the truck brand since the 1990s. That lets you know how long the Laramie has been around and how it resonates with truck shoppers looking for a luxury pickup truck. In some ways, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
In this case, it’s a good thing that the Laramie is still a go-to trim for luxury and performance. Even way back in the 1990s, the Laramie was praised for being more than capable as a workhorse trim despite its position as a luxury-themed version of the Ram. Today’s Laramie still fulfills the role of being a performance-driven, full-size pickup with a high-quality interior, available upgrades for the seating, and the best in infotainment and safety.
What really helps the Laramie is that it’s still quite capable as a light-duty work truck and is positioned as a great option for towing and cargo-hauling thanks to its reinforced bed, strengthened suspension, and large wheels. Buying a used Laramie means you want the best of both worlds when it comes to luxury and performance, but at a price that’s well below the MSRP. This is what makes it one of the best available used trucks on the market.

Can you name one of the most iconic trucks in the American landscape? From cornfields and cattle ranches to oil fields, city streets, and bustling highways, the Ram 1500 is an integral part of American life and is a symbol of hard work and capability. This is why we’re proud to be your premier used Ram dealership in KY because it means that we get to share the Ram legacy with customers like you.
What exactly is the Ram 1500’s legacy, and how has the truck changed since its 2015 redesign? We’ll answer that and much more as we take a closer look at the relationship between Dodge and Ram that started it all. From there, we’ll dive into the Ram 1500’s updates over the years. Then, we’ll finish off with the all-new 2021 Ram 1500 TRX, which is the most rugged and adventure-ready truck in the lineup.
Dodge and Ram: The Make-Up and Break-Up
Dodge got its start in the truck business in 1917 and welcomed Ram into the lineup in the 1930s. By the 1980s, this union became even stronger when the Ram name was added to the Dodge truck and marked the beginning of a new chapter. The Dodge Ram story continued for decades until the new millennium when Dodge and Ram announced their decision to sever ties in 2009. Why the break-up?
While the 2008 economic recession hit Americans hard, there was no escaping the need for a reliable work truck, which led to growing loyalty to brands like Dodge Ram. By 2009, Chrysler knew it was time for a change and, within a year, decided to capitalize on its brand loyalty by doing the unthinkable. Separating the brands allowed Dodge to focus on its lineup of sedans like the Charger and Challenger while Ram could cater to the truck market. This proved to be a genius move as Ram re-established itself as one of the most popular truck brands in America.
The Ram 1500: 2015 to 2018
Ram redesigned the 1500 in 2015 to deliver a half-ton truck with outstanding power and the best fuel economy in its class at 21 MPG city and 29 MPG highway. Available in regular, crew, or quad cab, the 1500’s power comes from three engine options that make it the only truck in its class to offer gasoline, diesel, and flex-fuel options. These options include the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI V8, and the exclusive 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel.
The Pentastar engine produces 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque with an average EPA rating of 19/20 MPG combined. For more power, look no further than the HEMI V8 that delivers 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque with an average fuel economy of 16/17 MPG combined. The exclusive 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel ups this ante by delivering a combined 23/24 MPG, 240 horsepower, 420 lb-ft of torque, and a towing capability of up to 9,200 pounds.
Aside from its impressive powertrains, the 1500 is also available in the Rebel and Laramie Limited trims, both of which offer a suite of unique features. The Rebel is designed for adventures with a rugged off-road package that makes it ideal for taking off the pavement and on the trail. This package includes everything from powder-coated bumpers, skid plates, and tow hooks to high-durability seating.
In contrast to the Rebel, the Laramie Limited is the epitome of luxury and boasts a premium leather interior with real wood accents and unique badging. The interior also features distinct pinstriping, detailed patterns, and high-quality carpeting. When it comes to technology, the Laramie Limited delivers with its remarkable technology suite that includes a standard rearview camera and the Uconnect infotainment system with navigation and Bluetooth capability.

The Ram 1500: 2019 to Present
With the Ram 1500 consistently topping the charts in the truck industry from 2015 to 2018, Ram set out to make even more improvements to the truck for 2019. The goal was to make the 2019 Ram 1500 the “benchmark for durability, technology, efficiency, and convenience,” complete with a suite of features that were not yet offered in a truck. Ram did this and much more with the full-size 1500 capable of towing up to 12,750 pounds without breaking a sweat.
The 2019 Ram 1500 sits on the longest, lightest, and most efficient frame in the entire segment of half-ton trucks. Drivers can reap the benefits of the longer frame when opting for the short or long bed on the Crew Cab, both of which stretch four inches longer than previous models at 144.5 and 153.5 inches, respectively. The Quad Cab long bed stretches to 140.5 inches, and all configurations, regardless of cab size or bed length, are equipped with a new aluminum tailgate with lift assist and an electronic latch-and-lock mechanism that make the tailgate more accessible.
One of the most notable additions to the 2019 redesign is the inclusion of the Ram 1500 4X4 Off-Road Package that’s designed to attract drivers with a need for adventure off the beaten path. This package includes a 1-inch suspension lift and 32-inch off-road tires, as well as an electronic locking rear differential to improve handling on harsh terrains. Additional features include Hill Descent Control, skid plates, and tow hooks, as well as unique 4X4 badging.
Aside from the new off-road package and sturdy frame, Ram also adds the eTorque hybrid system to its powertrain lineup to improve performance, capability, and fuel economy. This update is found in the upgraded Pentastar V6 engine that comes standard on most 2019 models. Although the Pentastar delivers the same power as previous models (305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque), the eTorque system improves energy use and works in conjunction with the upgraded TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission that also improves the truck’s efficiency to save you money at the pump.

The Ram 1500 TRX: 2021
We can’t talk about the Ram 1500 without mentioning the all-new road warrior – the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX. Set to lead the pack of off-road trucks in America, the TRX delivers jaw-dropping power with its 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 engine that produces 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque with a top speed of 118 mph. No wonder Ram promises the TRX will set a new benchmark for power and performance!
Sitting 8 inches wider than the standard Ram 1500, the TRX is equipped with 35-inch all-terrain tires that beg to be taken off-road. Also featuring Launch Control to manage tire slip for quick acceleration, the TRX gives you the option to customize your experience behind the wheel with five dynamic drive modes. The modes – Auto, Sport, Tow, Snow, and Custom – customize the four-wheel drive system, transmission, suspension, steering, and throttle response to meet the demands of the terrain. Let’s say you’re a busy young family with little ones, and you’re tired of contorting yourself to access car seats, unload groceries, and stow all the gear that goes along with successfully parenting toddlers. Ditch the giant SUV and reconsider a minivan. A minivan? Yes, a minivan. When you simply look up “Chrysler dealer near me,” you’ll find the newer and better 2021 Pacifica and Voyager lineup at dealers like us.
The word ‘minivan’ became slightly taboo in the mid-90s as SUVs and crossovers exploded onto the scene. Moms everywhere suddenly stuck utility on the shelf in favor of rugged lines and extra heft. We’re not bashing the SUV, but sometimes, for sanity’s sake, practicality has to win. This is especially true when you’re raising a family.
For that reason, we think the minivan is poised to make a big comeback, especially now that the market is saturated with crossovers bearing vanilla styling and a scant two rows of seating (unless you opt for a $70,000 land yacht!). Suddenly, the style points gained from parking an SUV in your driveway can’t offset the sacrifice in interior space. Intrigued? Well, then you have to check out the 2021 Chrysler Voyager and Pacifica. These two minivan legends deliver all the utility only a minivan can with a surprising amount of style and swagger. Which one is right for you?
2021 Chrysler Pacifica Highlights
Starting at an MSRP of $35,195, the 8-passenger Pacifica is Chrysler’s luxury-oriented minivan option. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the myriad luxury options available that combine to create a cabin that rivals even the most expensive luxury imports. Interior comfort and luxury are just one part of the Pacifica’s story, though.
Whenever the subject of minivans comes up, the number one topic tends to center on safety. That’s for a good reason since most minivan buyers are carrying precious cargo: their children. The 2021 Pacifica claims bragging rights for having more standard safety equipment than any other vehicle in the industry, regardless of category. In fact, there are over 115 total safety features available.
We also love the Pacifica’s available all-wheel drive powertrain, designed to weather even the worst snowstorms by delivering fully automatic traction and the capability of transferring power to whichever wheels are gripping the road the most. All that road handling doesn’t come at the expense of fuel economy. The Pacifica delivers up to 28 MPG on the highway or a combined rating of 82 MPGe when you select the available Pacifica Hybrid option.
What if you want luxury and performance? Then the Pacifica Pinnacle is for you. Starting at $53,390, the premium Pinnacle trim gets you a 19-speaker premium Harman Kardon audio system and buttery Nappa leather-trimmed seats in a rich caramel color. Chrysler’s clever FamCAM interior camera, which lets you keep an eye on occupants without turning around, and a rear seat entertainment system that will occupy the kiddos on long road trips are also included.

2021 Chrysler Voyager Highlights
We love the Voyager’s affordable starting price of $27,535. It means more families can get in on the utility of owning a minivan without the wallet pinch, which is exactly why Chrysler positioned it alongside the more expensive Pacifica. Sure, the Voyager is a little more practical than its upscale sibling, but it’s every bit as safe and convenient with the features buyers in this category demand.
Choose from the base Voyager L or, for a few thousand more, the Voyager LX. The LX adds automatic headlights, 17-inch wheels, second-row captain’s chairs with handy storage bins built into the floor, and access to the optional SafetyTec, Chrysler’s suite of driver-assist systems. Whichever Voyager trim you choose, you’ll get a standard backup camera. All Voyagers also come standard with Uconnect, an operating system that powers the in-dash 7-inch infotainment touchscreen and allows seamless smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You’ll also get the super-convenient third-row Stow ’n Go seats that quickly fold down for access to additional cargo space.
The Voyager delivers all the power you’ll need, thanks to a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 287 horsepower. The powerful engine is mated with a 9-speed automatic transmission, so acceleration and gear changes are smooth and seamless. For all its heft, the 203.8-inch long 2021 Voyager still sips gas, offering an economical 19 MPG in the city and 28 MPG on the highway.
Pacifica vs Voyager
Despite the fact that these two minivans are produced by the same manufacturer, they are strikingly different, both inside and out. The 2021 Pacifica is positioned at the premium end of the minivan category, while the Voyager is value-priced and modestly equipped. Clearly, Chrysler wanted to appeal to both ends of the budget spectrum.
One of the biggest differences between the Voyager and the Pacifica is the drivetrain. The Pacifica is offered in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, while the Voyager is only available in front-wheel drive. In addition, Chrysler offers the Pacifica in a Plug-In Hybrid model, an option that’s not present in the Voyager lineup.
Another stark difference is exterior styling. The Pacifica enjoyed a complete refresh for the 2021 model year, giving it a more dynamic appearance and differentiating it from the less expensive Voyager, which retains its original styling. The front end is sleek and terminates at a sloped grille emblazoned with the Chrysler logo. Chrysler describes the Chrysler as “sculpted” and adds modern features like LED lighting to enhance its sporty appearance.
Essentially, Chrysler took one minivan lineup and turned it into two, assigning the lower, less expensive trims a Voyager nameplate and reserving the more luxurious trims for the Pacifica. Buyers will get different color and wheel options also, depending on which minivan they choose. The combination of a Voyager and Pacifica option in the Chrysler minivan lineup is a smart play and should satisfy buyers across a wide range of budgets.
Thanks to the 2021 Chrysler minivan lineup, buyers craving a little more convenience have two practical and, yes, brag-worthy options. Let’s face it: raising kids is messy and challenging. It certainly does matter what you drive, but not for the reasons you think. Minivans make life easier for busy families, and if you ask any busy parent, they’ll tell you that easy is key.
